Fatah Official Awni Al-Mashni: Palestinians Who Want Israel to Defeat Iran Are Unpatriotic; We Need to Protect Our 'Victim Status' in Western Eyes, and Avoid Becoming 'the Criminals' Again
Fatah official Awni Al-Mashni said in a July 31, 2025 interview with Ahmad Biqawi on YouTube that he rejects the claims of those who say they have nothing to do with October 7. He said he cannot blame Hamas for 'this genocide […] the crime of the century,' even if it has made mistakes. Al-Mashni added that anyone who wishes for Iran to be defeated by Israel is unpatriotic. He advised Palestinians to maintain their victim status and not become criminals again in order to achieve their goals.
