Ashley Cain's ex Safiyya Vorajee claims they split after he 'started drinking a lot' following the death of their baby Azaylia
Ashley Cain's ex Safiyya Vorajee has claimed they split because he turned to alcohol following the death of their baby daughter Azaylia. Television personality Ashley, 33, and his ex partner Safiyya, 36, tragically lost their little girl when she was eight months old after she battled a rare form of cancer. Azalyia was diagnosed with with acute myeloid leukemia and had tumours on her lungs, stomach and kidneys. She was given several rounds of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant at Birmingham Children's Hospital but sadly died on April 24, 2021. Safiyya said both she and former Ex On The Beach star Ashley struggled with their grief, however he started to 'drink quite a lot' causing them to separate. Speaking to Paul C Brunson on his We Need To Talk podcast, she said that she 'waited for him' to navigate his grief but it became to much for her. Safiyya said: 'I was like lets ride through this together and he had his own protective armour around him and the feelings and pain he was in, he couldn't navigate it. 'I kind of waited for him but he ended up drinking quite a lot and going down that road. 'I'm not someone who really drinks and I needed him but he needed to be by himself. 'There is no right and wrong with grief.' Elsewhere in the chat, Safiyya revealed she gave Ashley a 90 day trial to step away from boozing when they first got together romantically. At the time, Ashley was doing club appearances and DJing but Safiyya said the only way their relationship would work was if he came home afterwards instead of partying into the early hours. She explained: 'I said show me the man I want, I gave him the 90 day test. It was just slowing down the pace of going out and partying, so like go to work, get paid and come home because he used to party after. 'I was like show me but if you don't want to, that is fine, but he passed the test with flying colours'. MailOnline has contacted Ashley's representatives for comment. Elsewhere, Safiyya broke down as she opened up about an abusive ex boyfriend who 'hit and beat her, smashed her car up and removed her closest friends and family from her life'. Speaking about the unnamed ex, she said: 'Relationships I've had an absolute mess with I ended up in a domestic relationship in my early 20s and I didn't see that coming from how strong I didn't see that coming. 'It was the love bombing, I was feeling lonely and I felt like I needed a partner and even though my career and work were going well I felt empty and like I needed someone. 'It was like he wants to take me to a fancy hotel and dinners and shopping and holidays and I was like yes I found this guy but these things were coming in gradually where I was like, "oh I thought you'd think like me wearing this" and slowly he was chipping away from me mentally and I thought everything I was doing was wrong and I was shrinking to suit him.' Recalling one of her horrific incidents, Safiyya said: 'I was driving in the car and I can't remember what the disagreement was about but he whacked me straight in the face. 'I stopped the car and pushed me out of the car and jumped into the drivers seat and I was just left and he drove off with my car and I had to borrow a phone to ring my mum to come collect me to take me home. 'My mum told me not to go back again but I went back and I felt like it was my fault and it was insane. My mum tried everything to stop me. He was so sorry and he hadn't done that before and he loved me so much and he'd prove it to me. I stayed for four years.' Paul asked if the abuse happened again and without hesitation she replied 'repeatedly'. She continued: 'Constantly, to the point I would mask everything, absolutely everything.' Safiyya revealed she was approached by a girl who revealed she had been seeing her ex and he had been telling her he was going to leave her and she thought she deserved to know. She explained: 'I was in the gym and this girl was waiting outside for me and said I need to talk to you about your partner and she got in the car and said she had been seeing him. 'I didn't go mad at her or anything I just said can you do me a favour because I have been in the worse place of my life for four years and can you come to my house and say this in front of him because no matter what you say or send me he will manipulate me and tell me its me going crazy or he might hit me because of these allegations. And she said yes. 'We drove both my car and hers to my house and we went through the front door and he looked and went who is this and she said everything to him. 'I had my two dogs, the house, the salon and everything there and I took the girl back to her car but I got back and he put holes in all my cupboards in the kitchen. 'I was terrified to go back in that house. I put my armour on and I thought I've been hit, beaten, things thrown at me, had my car smashed up, I've had my friends and family removed from me and if I'm going to take one last beating I'm going for it and I'm not being bullied anymore. 'I thought he was going to attack me and he was the opposite and he sat there and told me it was because I worked to much and I was like wow I'm not buying this anymore. 'I still didn't leave I didn't tell my mum, they were sick of hearing it, so I slept on the sofa for the week and I ended up ringing the Samaritans and they stayed on the phone to me for three hours. 'I went back to my mums house and she and other family members went and got my things and I had an injunction against him and I'd put a statement into the police for protection for me because I was petrified.' Azaylia was turned away by doctors three times and prescribed laxatives and a nasal spray when her breathing was impeded, shortly before her diagnosis. By the end of the month, the brave child faced her second surgery and 16th chemotherapy-related treatment in less than two weeks. November 2020: Azaylia's hair started to fall out just weeks after she was diagnosed. Doctors informed Ashley and his family that the tot needed a bone marrow transplant and blood donation. Due to her Caribbean, Burmese, Indian and English background, the footballer said it was very difficult to find a match for a transplant. Azaylia was brought home for a few days before her second round of chemotherapy. December 2020: 80,000 people became stem cell donors 48 hours after Ashley appealed for the public's help. So sad: Azaylia's hair started to fall out just weeks after she was diagnosed in November January 2021: The TV star confirmed a stem cell donor had been found for his baby daughter Azaylia. She received her stem cell transplant but her cancer sadly returned following a third round of chemotherapy. February 2021: Azaylia responded well to her stem cell treatment and doctors were impressed with 'how strong she was'. She underwent further surgery to discover whether her leukaemia had gone. Later in the month, doctors revealed her cancer had returned. March 2021: They were told there were 'very few options' to help the baby's condition before she had another bone marrow test. She relapsed by the end of the month and underwent her fourth round of chemotherapy. Ashley surpassed his target goal of £1million after he set up a GoFundMe to pay for life-saving treatment for his daughter Azaylia. The former Ex On The Beach star took to social media to ask fans for help in donating, explaining the treatment his daughter needed is available in Singapore. Ashley described the treatment, CAR-T therapy, as 'the only option to save Azaylia's life' and said he and partner Safiyya may have to fly out in a matter of weeks, adding it will take a minimum of one year. Celebrities such as former TOWIE star Kate Ferdinand, Love Island's Molly-Mae Hague and PrettyLittleThing founder Umar Kamani all donated. Despite efforts from around the world, pharmaceutical companies could not release the life-saving drugs needed to beat his daughter Azaylia's battle. April 2021: Healthcare professionals revealed Azaylia only had a few days to live as they discovered tumours in her stomach, her spleen, her liver and her kidneys, in addition to tumours in her brain. Her parents bathed her in the hospital for a final time before they returned home. They marked her turning eight months old by having moulds made of her feet, and Azaylia was met with support from the London Underground and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. She received life-prolonging transfusion after her condition caused profuse bleeding and public figures joined the nationwide clap held in her honour. Azaylia was nominated for a Pride of Britain award and had a plane draw a heart in the sky for her. The tot was put on oxygen to aid her sleep, and struggled to open her eyes due to swelling. Scam artists set up fake Facebook pages in her name, with Ashley admitting: 'We feel really sad it has come to this'. Azaylia returned to hospital for another platelet transfusion a few days before she died. The influencer's 'fragile' daughter stopped breathing and suffered seizures before Ashley confirmed her death.

ASHLEY Cain's ex Safiyya Vorajee has revealed that she's finally found love again, as she shared a racy video with a mystery new man. Safiyya was dating Ashley Cain, and is the mother of Ashley's first child, daughter Azaylia. 7 7 7 Tragically, Azaylia died aged just eight months in April 2021 after being diagnosed with a rare form of leukaemia. The couple split 11 months after Azaylia's death. Now, Safiyya appears to have found love again and posted a video captioned: 'Unexpected item in bagging area 👀 😂' In the playful clip, the beautiful star can be seen being lifted into the air by her unidentified new man. He also does push ups and pull ups with Saiffiya, and she walks towards him on the running machine while blowing him kisses. The brunette beauty, 37, looks stunning in the clip, wearing an all black gym ensemble. And her new beau keeps his identity hidden in a cap, scarf and sunglasses. Fans were delighted by the video, and shared their thoughts on Saffiya's new romance in the comments. 'Well this made me smile… 🥹 so happy for you,' wrote one person, while another said: 'Omg saf I'm here for this if this is the new man. I've literally prayed for your happiness my whole life.' Santa brings smiles to children at hospitals thanks to our army of readers A third echoed: 'Anyone else screaming in excitement for this beautiful human!!!!!!!' It comes just over a month after Ashley Cain revealed a heartbreaking tribute to his late daughter Azaylia on the fourth anniversary of her death. The parents were left devastated after doctors found more tumours and ran out of options to save the baby girl, who was battling a rare form of the disease. For weeks, doctors said the brave baby girl could only have "days to live", but Ashley and Safiyya refused to give up hope. Yet despite all the love and hope in the world the brave couple's sweet baby was cruelly snatched away in the first year of her life. Now Ashley, who has candidly spoken on his "loneliness" and "guilt" after his little girl's passing, has created a new black "crown" tribute for her tombstone. The reality TV star told how it had taken four years to pen his heart-wrenching words to Azaylia. The black stone with gold writing is shaped in a heart, and features a picture of the tot. The words open with "our beautiful daughter" and round off with "let's go champ! "Forever and always with all our love, Mummy, Daddy and your loving family." In his caption, Ashley wrote: "For 4 years, I've lived in fear of this very moment. "As a parent, you never, ever want to reach the day where this becomes the final thing you can do for your child. "But today, on Azaylia's 4th anniversary, through the numbing guilt and the devastating pain… I feel an overwhelming sense of pride. "Pride that one of Earth's most beautiful little princesses, and one of Heaven's most beloved angels, now has a special crown worthy enough to hold her story. "These words have taken 4 years to write - and even now, they will never be enough to say who you are, or what you've done for me as your father. "They'll never come close to expressing the enormity of your strength, your courage, your beauty, and your purity. "Or the profound impact you've had on this world and its people. "But I hope, as your daddy, they show just how much I love you. "And I know your mummy and all of our family will feel the exactly same. "I miss you with a pain that never fades, and I love you with a strength that will never end. "Forever, with every piece of me - Daddy." Ashley told of the "guilt" he felt after he revealed he was to become a dad for the second time. Ashley revealed his first son's arrival in 2024, When Aliyas was born, he confirmed that he was not in a relationship with his mother, but said that she was a 'close friend'. In November, he also welcomed little Atlas Diamond Cain to the fold. 7 7

Massachusetts father and 10-year-old daughter viciously assaulted during scenic fishing trip
A man and his daughter were targeted with racial slurs and had rocks thrown at them during an unprovoked attack while enjoying a fishing trip on a Massachusetts lake. To celebrate Memorial Day Weekend, Sheron Brown, a Black father, took his 10-year-old daughter, Azaylia, to Shady Point Beach in Lunenburg for a joyful father-daughter fishing trip, as reported by Mass Live News. But the outing quickly turned dark when a white man on the shore made it clear he wanted them gone, hurling racial slurs and launching rocks near their boat. The man, identified as 66-year-old David McPartlan, was later arrested and charged with four counts of assault. 'Never in 1,000 years would you expect to be out doing what you love with the person you love, my daughter, and someone aggressive and yelling out things that are just awful and atrocious,' Brown told NBC Boston. Last weekend, Sheron and Azaylia grabbed a large pepperoni pizza from Athens Pizza - her favorite - and made the 10-mile drive to the nature-filled campground for a fun, near-summer day out on the water. 'My daughter simply wanted to eat pizza and catch a fish with her dad on Memorial Day,' Sheron wrote in a post shared to Facebook. Planning to float, fish and enjoy their meal, the pair headed to Lake Shirley to launch their boat after finding Whalom Pond too crowded for their outing. Together, they chose to fish in a different part of the lake than usual, thoughtfully staying clear of other boaters enjoying the holiday weekend. However, their peaceful afternoon was shattered when Azaylia faced racism for the first time - a man on shore hurled rocks at their family while shouting racial slurs, an incident Sheron captured on video. In the footage, a shirtless white man, identified as McPartlan, is seen standing on his property with his dogs, facing the water where the father-daughter duo were fishing. 'His first words were, 'Don't fish here next to my dock, go somewhere else. Why are you here?'' Sheron told NBC. The situation quickly escalated as McPartlan grew increasingly aggressive, shouting and swearing at Sheron and 10-year-old Azaylia with rising intensity. When Sheron tried to ask him to calm down in front of his child, McPartlan responded: 'You guys think you own the lake', the father recalled in an interview with Mass Live. Seconds later, McPartlan hurled a large rock that splashed into the water just feet away from their boat. In disbelief, Sheron asked: 'Did you just throw a rock at me?' Then, in a shocking moment captured on video, McPartlan is heard saying, 'Oh yeah, I'm throwing rocks at you, *****,' using a racial slur directed at Black individuals. 'It seemed like he was trying to establish some kind of invisible boundary where I can't fish towards his dock, even though that was not my intention anyway,' Sheron told NBC. 'There was at least 65 feet between us, which is a considerable distance,' he added. As McPartlan fell silent for a moment, 10-year-old Azaylia - who was sitting quietly on the boat, listening - asked her father what they had done wrong, according to Mass Live. 'We didn't do anything wrong,' Sheron responded, as reported by the outlet. 'This guy is being mean.' When McPartlan began repeating the slurs, Sheron then told him he had no choice but to call 911 - especially after what his young daughter had just been forced to witness. 'I told him, "Hey, I'm gonna record this if you're not gonna stop," the father told NBC. According to Sheron, the video ended just moments before McPartlan picked up a large stick. The altercation finally came to an end after nearly 20 minutes, when Lunenburg police, responding to Sheron's call, informed him they were struggling to locate him on the open water, Mass Live reported. When police arrived to McPartland's property, he told them, 'I slipped a word out that maybe I shouldn't have but I was pissed,' according to a police report obtained by NBC. When police asked what the word was, he responded: 'I'm not going to admit it'. He also allegedly admitted to throwing rocks around the boat. Sheron, a competitive fisherman who has spent countless hours on his custom fishing boat over the past 13 years, said this is the first time he had ever encountered anything like this on the water - despite the fact that most Lake Shirley residents are white, Mass Live reported. Now, he wonders how this experience will emotionally impact his daughter in the years to come. 'I don't want my daughter to have a bad light of white males, or lake residents. I want her to treat people all the same,' Sheron told Mass Live. However, 'racism does exist,' he emphasized. 'My daughter witnessed it, where someone calls her father that word... I'm forced to explain things to her when I may not be ready. I'm forced to explain something to her, under duress, after I choke back how I feel, what I may want to do,' he added. 'I'm not prepared. How do you prepare for that situation?' McPartlan, of Ayer, was charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and two counts of assault to intimidate. He is due in Fitchburg District Court on June 16, as reported by NBC News. It was not immediately clear whether he had retained an attorney to respond to the charges. McPartlan did not immediately respond to for comment. 'Ignorance is not bliss. I firmly believe it's a choice,' Sheron wrote to Facebook.

Safiyya Vorajee soaks up the sun in Dubai as she shares touching tribute to her late daughter Azaylia
Safiyya Vorajee paid tribute to her late daughter Azalyia while on holiday in Dubai. An Instagram post shared by the influencer, 34, on Friday revealed she had enjoyed a getaway to the lavish Burj Al Arab hotel. Posing in a coastal swimming pool with a picturesque sunset behind her, the beauty reclined in an animal print swimsuit. As Safiyya gazed up at the sky in a final snap, she told her followers that's how she remembers her daughter Azaylia, who died in 2021 at just eight months old. The touching caption read: 'You'll always find me looking up at the sky because that's where my favourite person in the world lives.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Azaylia, who Safiyya shares with former footballer Ashley Cain, 34, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer at just eight weeks old which left her with tumours on her lungs, stomach and kidneys. She underwent several rounds of chemotherapy but unfortunately lost her life on 24 April 2021 after a courageous battle. Safiyya and Ashley, who have since split, launched The Azaylia Foundation following the loss of their daughter - a charity aimed at helping families going through similar struggles. The foundation has since raised more than £1.5million, with its founders winning a number of awards for their work with the charity. Just a matter of days ago Safiyya revealed she is at last ready to 'live her life' again after the unimaginable heartache she suffered four years ago. Accompanying a photo of her relaxing on a plane the 34-year-old penned: 'I love being up here with you. 'At the start of this year, I promised myself to try and live again, not just survive, but to truly find happiness even when I didn't know where to begin. I started small, with a routine, and every time I fell, I chose to rise again. You don't recover overnight. It's taken me years to even reach this point. 'I've worked deeply on myself, my healing, my purpose, my work, my body, and my mind. Five months into the year and I'm proud of how little I've fallen since making that promise to myself. Grief will forever live within me, but so does growth, strength, and self-love. 'Let me show you there is something in life called a rebirth. It's when pain doesn't break you forever, it transforms you. It's when you honour your past but choose to embrace life again (with my angel beside me)' 'Before flying to Dubai, I visited Azaylia's garden. I said my prayers with a heavy heart, always feeling the ache of not having her here or being able to share holidays together . But in the sky, I felt her with me. That connection is all I have, and it's enough to keep me going.' On a similar note, Safiyya told MailOnline in an exclusive interview in late-2024 that she finally feels ready to have another child after the death of her first daughter. It came after Ashley became a father for the third time last year, having welcomed a son called Aliyas with a mystery woman and another named Atlas last year. It is not known if Atlas's mother is the same woman. Accompanying a photo of her travelling to Dubai, just a matter of days ago Safiyya revealed she is at last ready to 'live her life' again after the unimaginable heartache she suffered four years ago Safiyya said: 'I think what you do with grief is learn how to carry it, and for me, always turning pain into purpose allows me to feel stronger. 'Every day is hard when you wake up in the morning, and it's just creating measures and putting different boundaries in place. 'As long as I'm continuing Azaylia's legacy, they're the things that actually carry me through.' She added: 'For me it (the idea of having more children) always goes round in circles in my mind, because it's a really scary thing for me, but I always believe that if I'm with the right person, I don't shut it down now,' she said. 'I'm open to that as well. I'm open to rebuilding our family and a home, and if I don't find the right man then I won't be, but I am open to that in the future.' And the star is taking things seriously, even exploring the option of freezing her eggs although she explained that a doctor told her it wasn't necessary. She told MailOnline: 'I actually went to one of the people who freezes your eggs, and basically, he told me that it's not necessary for me to freeze my eggs right now. 'I don't know the ins and outs, and I need to get more information, but he told me that if he took the eggs out, and I then tried to get pregnant with my next partner, then it could be the fact that there's not enough fertile eggs in there where you could get pregnant at this age.
