EgyptAir Holding Company Chairman Ahmed Adel on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, discussed with Boeing Vice President of Commercial Sales and Marketing for Africa Anbessie Yitbarek ways of enhancing cooperation in upgrading Egypt's airlines fleet.
During a meeting with Boeing delegation, Adel affirmed the long-standing relationship between EgyptAir and Boeing, describing it as a fruitful partnership that has played a pivotal role in the modernization of the airline's fleet over past decades.
The meeting falls within EgyptAir's strategic plan to upgrade its fleet and collaborate with global aircraft manufacturing giants to boost operational efficiency and competitiveness.
Adel expressed EgyptAir's commitment to continuing its cooperation with Boeing in the coming period to support the airline's expansion plans and enhance operational performance.
EgyptAir is closely coordinating with Boeing regarding the delivery schedule of its new B737-8 MAX aircraft, tracking every stage of the manufacturing process to ensure deadlines are met, Adel added.
Meanwhile, Boeing representatives confirmed full commitment to the aircraft delivery timeline, starting January 2026.
Yitbarek underscored Boeing's support for the new aircraft, including spare parts and training programs in coordination with EgyptAir's Training Academy. This will involve technical and engineering training, as well as pilot instruction on the B737-8 MAX's advanced systems.
The Boeing delegation extended an invitation to Adel to visit Boeing's manufacturing facility in Seattle, the US, to get first-hand information about the latest technologies and innovations developed by Boeing to enhance aircraft performance and passenger experience.
