Everything you need to know about Black Sabbath 'Back to the beginning' show at Villa Park

"The greatest heavy metal show ever" is coming to Birmingham on Saturday as Ozzy Osbourne is to reunite with all his original Black Sabbath bandmates for his final performance. The band will take to the stage to headline BACK TO THE BEGINNING on July 5th at Villa Park. Icons Ozzy, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward will play for the first time in 20 years. The all-day event at Villa Park, where the heavy rock pioneers formed in 1968, will also feature sets by a host of major metal bands. Here at ITV Central we have pulled together an everything you need to know about the concert which has now out. WHO ELSE IS PLAYING? As well as the iconic Black Sabbath, the all-day event will also feature a supergroup of musicians. Artists announced so far include Billy Corgan (The Smashing Pumpkins), David Draiman (Disturbed), Duff McKagan & Slash (Guns 'n Roses), Frank Bello (Anthrax), Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit), Jake E Lee, Jonathan Davis (Korn), KK Downing, Lzzy Hale (Halestorm), Mike Bordin (Faith No More), Rudy Sarzo, Sammy Hagar, Scott Ian (Anthrax), Sleep Token ii (Sleep Token), Papa V Perpetua (Ghost), Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine), Wolfgang Van Halen and Zakk Wylde. More names are also expected to be announced. CHARITY All profits will be donated equally to the following charities Cure Parkinson's, Birmingham Children's Hospital and Acorn Children's Hospice, a Children's Hospice supported by Aston Villa. PLAN YOUR JOURNEY Villa Park is situated in residential areas that do not allow for parking. Aston Villa has issued advice to people travelling and parking at the gig on their website. According to the site, they're calling on people to plan their journey for the best chance to ensure enjoyment of the concert is not overshadowed by travel. A Traffic Exclusion Zone is applied around the stadium throughout the day, so it is important you know where you are going before you set off. Put simply, if you jump in your car, set Villa Park in your sat nav and set off, the club says you will encounter an extremely long and difficult trip. PARKING The cub says parking at the stadium is not available. There are numerous parking sites within a 45-minute walk (or less) of the stadium. However, the capacity of these car parks will not be sufficient for all those looking to park. Once all parking sites are filled, the next alternative is to use the City Centre to park, and then use public transport, taxi, uber or our official shuttle bus services operating from Dudley Street (near to New Street Station) to get to Villa Park. Please leave in plenty of time to allow for a journey to park and access the venue from the city centre. The official car parks supporting the concert are not centrally controlled. There are various third parties who operate these sites, but all the ones listed by the club are known to be reputable and operate parking responsibly. There are two third parties who offer parking to be purchased in advance. DIRECTIONS The club says for pre and post-concert, it is vital you ignore your satnav. If at any point you get off the motorway network and then travel past the stadium your journey will be a slow and difficult one, particularly post-concert. For example, if you exit at junction 6 of the M6, stay south and park south of the stadium. The club says if you have booked your parking in advance, make sure you know which is the best route from the motorway network to access your car park. If you are looking to pay on the day, then ensure you follow the directional advice below and aim for the associated car parks listed as accessible from these exits. Villa Park is not a venue where pre-concert Drop-off and post-concert Pick-up is feasible. The club would strongly advise all those attending the concert to avoid drop-off and pick-up in the direct vicinity of Villa Park. The local road network will be extremely congested (particularly post-concert). If you are travelling from the Northwest (M6) or the Southwest corridor (M5), the club strongly advises you exit the M6 at junction 7, use the A34 towards Birmingham City Centre and use the car parks located north of the stadium. If you are travelling from the Northeast, use the A38 from Derby which will bring you to Salford Circus (junction 6 of the M6). If you are travelling from the Southeast (M6) the club strongly advises you exit at junction 6 of the M6. Dependent on what car park you are planning on using, there are two options for exit at junction 6. Take the A38M to the city centre and take the first exit on to Park Circus or use Salford Circus to head towards Villa Park on the Lichfield Road. SHUTTLE BUS The club are providing a regular shuttling service before and after each concert. Pre-concert, shuttle bus services will run from Dudley Street (near New Street Station). Buses will then depart at 10-minute intervals. The buses will drop fans at Aston Hall across the road from Villa Park. Post-concert, shuttles will run from Aston Hall and will depart at 10-minute intervals, with the final service for each concert leaving at midnight. All services will shuttle fans back to Dudley Street. The club says marshalls will be on hand to ensure passengers access the services safely both at the city centre and Aston Hall. The service is priced at £7.50 one way - £15 return. Shuttle bus tickets can also be purchased on the day at either end of the service. BLACK SABBATH Black Sabbath are deemed as being one of the founders of heavy metal and had huge success with their first two albums - Black Sabbath and Paranoid. Formed in Birmingham in 1968 and going on to become one of most successful metal bands of all time, Black Sabbath have sold more than 75 million albums worldwide across their legendary career. Setting the blueprint for the many routes heavy metal took, Black Sabbath's influence and importance is believed to be as vital today as it was in the early 1970s.
