Bohurupi ZEE5 One of the much-appreciated recent Bengali movies, Bohurupi is co-written and co-directed by Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy. Set in the 90s, Bohurupi follows Bikram (Mukherjee), a commerce graduate, who receives a major setback when he is wrongfully imprisoned. In jail, he bonds with a veteran bank robber and emerges as a master of disguise, orchestrating daring heists—including one at the Ajaygunj Co-operative Bank. This leads to a cat-and-mouse chase with cop Sumanta Ghosal (Abir Chatterjee). Bohurupi raises questions regarding justice, morality, and identity. Nosferatu JioHotstar Written and directed by Robert Eggers, Nosferatu, available to stream from May 10, is a reimagining of the 1922 silent German Expressionist vampire film Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror (1922). In the 1830s, estate agent Thomas Hutter (Nicholas Hoult) travels to Transylvania for a meeting with Count Orlok (Bill Skarsgård), a prospective client. In his absence, Hutter's new bride, Ellen (Lily-Rose Depp), is left under the care of their friends, Friedrich and Anna Harding. Plagued by horrific visions, Ellen soon encounters an evil force that's far beyond her control in this Gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her. Gram Chikitsalay Prime Video The makers of Panchayat, The Viral Fever, have now come up with new Gram Chikitsalay Season 1 — a drama that follows the journey of Dr Prabhat, a city doctor who takes up the challenge of reviving an almost defunct Primary Health Centre in the remote village of Bhatkandi. Created by Deepak Kumar Mishra, the series is written by Vaibhav Suman and Shreya Shrivastava and directed by Rahul Pandey. Its cast features Amol Parashar and Vinay Pathak in lead roles. They are joined by actors Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, Anandeshwar Dwivedi, Akash Makhija, and Garima Vikrant Singh in pivotal roles.

Saudi Film Commission to host workshop for film production managers
Applicants should possess prior experience in production roles—such as producer, production manager, or involvement in short film projects—to fully benefit from the training. Saudi Film Commission is set to host an in-person workshop aimed at enhancing the skills of film production managers. Taking place over two sessions—February 19-20 and February 26-27, 2025—the workshop will accommodate 20 participants and will be conducted in English, according to a report by MENA tv. Led by Gareth Ellis-Unwin, CEO of Bedlam Production Company and an Academy and BAFTA Award-winning producer, the training will cover key aspects of production management, including project oversight, administrative responsibilities, budgeting, stress management and efficient task coordination. Designed to equip attendees with essential industry knowledge and practical expertise, the workshop seeks to support career growth and strengthen Saudi Arabia's film production sector. Participants are required to have prior experience in production roles—such as producer, production manager, or involvement in short film projects—to maximise the benefits of the programme.

Vertical Acquires Kristin Scott Thomas' Directorial Debut ‘My Mother's Wedding' Starring Scarlett Johansson, Sienna Miller & Emily Beecham
EXCLUSIVE: Vertical has acquired North American rights to My Mother's Wedding, the directorial debut of Oscar nominee and BAFTA Award-winning actress Kristin Scott Thomas. The film, inspired by her own family history, which she wrote with husband John Micklethwait, will be released in theaters this summer. My Mother's Wedding follows three sisters who return to their childhood home for a momentous weekend: the third wedding of their twice-widowed mother, Diana Frost (Scott Thomas). The three daughters are from very different walks of life: Georgina (Emily Beecham) is a hospice nurse; Victoria (Sienna Miller) is a Hollywood star; and Katherine (Scarlett Johansson) is a Captain in the Royal Navy. Over the weekend, the family gathers to celebrate the new marriage, but mother and daughters alike are forced to revisit the past and confront the future, all with help from a colorful group of unexpected wedding guests. Olly Rix joins cast of BBC's BAFTA Award-Winning Casualty
Casualty has announced Olly Rix (Agatha Raisin, Our Girl, Call The Midwife, The Royal Shakespeare Company) as the latest addition to the BAFTA Award-winning BBC show, made by BBC Studios Drama Productions. Olly is set to take on the role of charming but complicated Clinical Lead Flynn Byron and will first appear on screens from March, in Casualty's upcoming new miniseries Internal Affairs. Flynn Byron is a complex character driven by his past demons and the need to make his mark. As the new Clinical Lead Consultant at Holby City ED, Flynn joins the NHS fresh from a tour of duty. He's a man with a purpose, and with a fierce resolve to make a difference. He faces the challenge of instilling change in a system weighed down by bureaucracy, all the while grappling with the trauma he has experienced and a deception that threatens to be his undoing. Olly Rix says: 'It's been a pleasure to join the Casualty cast in such a dynamic role. Flynn crashes into the world of it from a very different background, resulting in a complex and exciting story in Internal Affairs and beyond. It's a brilliant new chapter for the show and I am excited for the audience to get to know Flynn."
