Online Worcestershire map aims to get electric vehicle charge point ideas

Man arrested after cyclist killed in A38 collision near Droitwich
A man has been arrested after a cyclist died in a collision on the A38 in the early hours of Sunday Mercia Police say they received a report at around 05:00 BST that a white and blue Dacia Duster travelling towards Droitwich Spa in Worcestershire had collided with a cyclist near the Copcut Elm cyclist, a man in his 30s, died at the driver of the Dacia, a 51-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and remains in police custody. Arrest after reports of drone flown over HMP Long Lartin
A man has been arrested after police investigating reports a drone had been flown over a prison discovered an abandoned car full of contraband were called to HMP Long Lartin in South Littleton, Worcestershire, at about 02:50 BST on Tuesday. A black Audi was sighted in the area and failed to stop, it was then found soon after in the Ullington area.A drone along with mobile phones and suspected contraband was found in the vehicle, a man in his 20s was located nearby and arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to convey prohibited items into a prison. Droitwich Spa leisure centre revamp set to begin
A £15m project to extend and revamp Droitwich Spa Leisure Centre is set to start this week. Plans to rebuild the existing centre were scrapped by the local authority last year, after estimated costs rose to £ District Council's plans for the site include a new learner pool, car park, cafe and reception area. There will also be a full refurbishment of the swimming pool and gym changing rooms. Work is due to be completed by November 2026. Plans for a new £300,000 skatepark near the leisure centre were also being finalised, said the council, with work expected to start by May 2026.
