'Messy, horrible - Forest don't want this and Gibbs-White doesn't either'

BBC Radio Nottingham's Colin Fray says it appears Forest "aren't looking for a quick resolution" to Tottenham's approach for Morgan Gibbs-White. Forest are considering legal action against the north London club as it is believed they are looking at whether a specific confidentiality agreement in the £60m release clause in Gibbs-White's contract has been breached. "It is certainly one that Forest could have been doing without and one that has got the fans worried," Fray said on the Shut Up And Show More Football podcast. "On the back of the exit of Anthony Elanga to Newcastle, fans were willing to accept that a big sale might be necessary this summer because that's life in the days of PSR and the Premier League. Although disappointed with that possibility and subsequent reality, people accepted that. "But, to have this right on the heel of the Elanga deal caused a lot of concern among supporters, and still is. It is a moving situation and things may change quickly - but it is messy, it is horrible, Forest don't want to be there in that situation. I'm fairly sure Gibbs-White doesn't either." "It's going to be interesting to see how it plays out from here," added Fray. "Most thought it would be ironed out and the transfer go through. Not many were expecting him back at training and here he is. That is another twist in the story. "Forest have set their stall out that they aren't looking for a quick resolution. They want to keep him." Listen to the full episode on BBC Sounds

Can poor form be put 'down to nerves'?

BBC Radio Nottingham's Colin Fray spoke on the latest Shut Up And Show More Football podcast about the reasons behind Nottingham Forest's recent poor form: "It's getting very nervy - you can tell that around the ground and in some of the performances. You're seeing players that have been absolutely outstanding all season now not reaching those levels. I think that's down to nerves."You look at some of the decision-making that has been going on on the pitch. You put it down to individual errors, but those individual errors haven't been happening over the course of the season so far. You start to wonder why they are happening now."Getting across the line, whatever the target you're aiming for, is always the most difficult time of a season. Nottingham Forest aren't used to challenging like this, certainly not in the Premier League. They haven't had too many promotion battles in all of those years either in the lower leagues."They are used to scrapping against teams who do slip up. Now they are finding themselves in battles with teams who don't."At the moment, I feel like we are being a bit left behind in that department."Listen to the full episode on BBC Sounds

🎧 'They wont want this to be the culmination'

BBC Radio Nottingham's Colin Fray, speaking on the latest episode of Shut Up And Show More Football: "The whole season has been joyous. From a club perspective, they wont want this to be the culmination. They'll want 17 May, the final, or the qualification for the Champions League. That would be the culmination. But certainly this is one of the huge steps Forest have taken this season."We have talked about 'next steps' and this is another step for Forest, their first semi-final at the new Wembley. It is another example of how far Forest have come this season, and who knows what is to come after Sunday."Listen to the full episode on BBC Sounds

'This is a dream for any kid'

Nottingham Forest winger Jota Silva has given a rare interview and told the Shut Up And Show More Football podcast he is living a "dream" this 25-year-old, who has vastly improved his English in recent months, told the BBC Radio Nottingham podcast: "I think it's a great season. It's incredible to be here and help the team play this football. In England, this football, it's incredible."For me, this is perfect for me and the club. I am very happy to be here. I worked a lot to try to be here so now I arrive and I try to do my best on the pitch, play with my passion that I have for this sport."If the coach says he needs me for 90 minutes, I play. If he needs me for five minutes I try for five minutes, try to impact the game and bring energy from the bench. For me the most important is to help the team and do my job."We are in the position we are because we don't have a team, we have a squad, a family here. Like the coach said, what we can achieve this season is so special so we work hard every day to achieve this."One of the words to describe this team is belief. In the FA Cup games, sometimes you score and go to extra time or penalties and you need belief in ourselves and team-mates. I think this is the word to describe this team, belief and passion."For me to play here in the Premier League and FA Cup is a dream. You have the Champions League and Premier League, FA Cup, every cup in this country is so special. We believe in ourselves and our work and we can improve every day."And, on the prospect of running out at Wembley, the summer signing said: "This is a dream for any kid and any person playing football. I will go to the game to enjoy, with responsibility, but to enjoy."Listen to the full episode on BBC Sounds
