Rajanna Sircilla: District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha has asserted that education is the most powerful tool to eliminate poverty. He inaugurated online classes supported by Unacademy at the Telangana Model School in Rahimkhanpet village of Illanthakunta mandal, in the presence of Manakondur MLA K Satyanarayana. On this occasion, both the Collector and the MLA taught students subjects such as Mathematics, Telugu, Accounting, and English. They engaged with students by asking questions and encouraging interactive learning. The Collector also inspected the kitchen shed at the school and directed the staff to prepare and serve quality, tasty meals to the students. Rajanna Sircilla district is the first in the undivided Karimnagar region to introduce Unacademy-powered online coaching classes with the special initiative of the District Collector. Impressed by the efforts, BC Welfare and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar congratulated the Collector over the phone.

Hyderabad: BC Welfare and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar criticized the previous government for the lack of development of slums and colonies in the city over the past decade. The Minister pointed out that only the constituencies of those connected to the previous government saw progress, highlighting a pattern of discrimination in their actions. On Friday, he along with minister Vivek Venkataswamy and Thummala Nageswara Rao, Hyderabad City Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi and Hyderabad Collector Harichandana laid the foundation stone for various developmental projects in Jubilee Hills constituency. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said that the foundation stone for several development works was laid in the Jubilee Hills constituency, backed by over Rs 5 crore in funding. He emphasized that the Jubilee Hills constituency will progress across all sectors. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the public administration is effectively addressing and resolving all issues. Ponnam stated that they are addressing the issues of drinking water, roads, and drainage system in Hyderabad effectively, while also devising special strategies to enhance job opportunities for the city's youth. He encouraged the residents to raise any public concerns they may have with local officials, public representatives, or ministers. On this occasion, the foundation stone was laid for the construction of CC roads at Harijan Basti, along with the Sports Park under the flyover at a cost of Rs 315.90 lakh in Shaikpet, CC roads at a cost of Rs 100.5 lakh at Gurudwara Kaman in Vengal Rao Nagar and CC roads next to Kamalapuri Association Community Hall at a cost of Rs 95.75 lakh in Yousufguda.

Hyderabad: The decades-old 'remedy for Asthma' fish medicine (Fish Prasadam) by the Bathini Goud family would be distributed on the occasion of Mrigasira Karthi at Nampally Exhibition Grounds on June 8 from 10 am onwards. Addressing a press conference here, the family members of Bathini Harinath Goud including sons Sheshul Bathini and Amarnath Goud said that as usual, this year, at 10 am on June 8, immediately after the Mrigasira Karthi, the fish prasadam will be distributed at the Nampally Exhibition Grounds. Lakhs of people from the country and abroad visit the Prasadam distribution centre every year. 'For this reason, this year too, the government, on the orders of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, is providing full cooperation under the supervision of BC Welfare and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, and the relevant government departments, including the Hyderabad Collector, DGP, Police Commissioners, are making arrangements with the coordination of everyone,' Amarnath Goud said.

Centre to spend ₹2 lakh crore for developing national highways in Telangana: Nitin Gadkari

Union Minister of Road Transport and National Highways Nitin Gadkari has promised to change the landscape of Telangana by spending an estimated ₹2 lakh crore for developing national highways in the next four years. The Minister pointed out that in the last 10.5 years, the Centre had built 2,600 km of new national highways which is more than double the length of the 2,500 km that was existing before 2014 by spending an estimated ₹1.25 lakh crore. Mr. Gadkari laid foundation stones for several new national highways and underpasses, besides also inaugurating the BHEL and Amberpet flyovers in the capital at a total cost of ₹6,100 crore. He also participated in two public meetings, one at Sirpur Kagaznagar and another at Amberpet here on Monday. 'The Modi government is committed to the development of Telangana in conjunction with the State government here. It is because of the national highways work taken up in the last few years that what used to take 12 hours to reach Hyderabad from the districts is now taking just 4/5 hours. The new highway works under way will further reduce the distances between various cities,' he claimed. Among the ongoing works are — Green Express corridor with 770 km between Indore and Hyderabad and expected to be thrown open next year passing through Kamareddy, Medak and Sangareddy. Kashmir to Kanyakumari link will be established with plans to build a highway from Surat to Nasik, Ahmednagar, Sholapur, Kurnool, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kanyakumari with 1,100 km passing through Telangana. A 221-km ₹8,000 crore Suryapet to Devarapalli greenfield highway, 164-km ₹6,040 crore Hyderabad-Visakhapatnam highway, 565-km ₹16,000 crore Nagpur-Vijayawada and 401-km ₹13,300 crore Asifabad-Mancherial, Bhupalapalli-Hanmkonda-Warangal-Khammam corridor, are among the prominent projects under construction, he disclosed. Mr. Kishan Reddy, in his address, said development of roads is the key to country's progress. Hence, the Modi government has been laying lot of emphasis on the highway projects as it will result in agricultural and industrial growth. The Centre has been investing a lot in developing railway lines, airports and ports too. He urged the State government to complete the pending land acquisition for service roads at the Amberpet flyover. Telangana Minister for Roads & Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy sought the speedy grounding of the proposed Regional Ring Road (RRR) and widening of the Hyderabad-Vijaywada highway. Minister for BC Welfare and Transport Ponnam Prabhakar, Rajya Sabha MP K. Laxman, Mayor G. Vijayalakshmi, Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender and others participated in the meeting.
