Hunt for Sunderland crash driver who left scene on foot
Police are searching for a driver who reportedly left the scene of a two-vehicle crash on collision, involving a white Seat Ibiza and a grey BMW 340i, happened just after 22:30 BST on Saturday near Seat overturned in the crash on the A690 northbound, near the junction with the A19 at the Herrington Interchange, injuring the Police said the BMW driver was reported to have left the scene on foot and asked witnesses to get in touch. What we know The crash happened around 2:20 p.m. on March 28 near Grand Avenue and 1st Street. According to Gurnee police, a BMW 340i was traveling westbound on Route 132 when Jane Kennedy, driving a Subaru Forester eastbound on Grand Avenue, attempted to turn left onto 1st Street. The Subaru turned directly into the path of the BMW, resulting in a collision. Kennedy was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center, where she was treated in the intensive care unit and later pronounced dead on the evening of March 29. The Lake County Coroner's Office determined Kennedy died from complications of blunt force injuries sustained in the crash. A Waukegan woman died from injuries she received in a Friday two-car crash in Gurnee, according to the Lake County Coroner's Office. Jane Kennedy, 74, died Saturday night at Advocate Condell Medical Center, the coroner's office said. She was critically injured in a crash that happened at about 2:20 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Grand Avenue and 1st Street, according to authorities. Two men arrested after fatal M40 Oxfordshire crash
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and burglary after a crash that closed part of the M40 for nearly 20 hours.A grey BMW 340i, which police believe was stolen in Oxfordshire, was being driven on the southbound carriageway between junctions 9 for Bicester and 8A for Wheatley at about 22:40 GMT on said the car crashed into the northbound carriageway and a man, 20, from Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, and another man, 34, from Evesham, Worcestershire, both were in the same car as a man, 19, from Evesham, and a fourth man, 22, from Southam, Warwickshire, who were arrested and remain in custody. They sustained serious injuries. The stretch of motorway, which passes through Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, was closed for most of Tuesday and reopened at about 18:10, National Highways Thorpe, of Thames Valley Police's Roads Policing Unit, asked anyone who might have seen the crash or the BMW before it happened to contact officers.
