2026 BMW M2 CS breaks cover, produces over 520 bhp and 640 Nm of torque. Check details
BMW has tuned every performance system in the M2 CS to enhance control, precision, and driver engagement. Check Offers The 2026 BMW M2 CS has been launched globally as a performance-focused version of its compact M car lineup. Slated to enter production in August at the brand's San Luis Potosi facility in Mexico, this latest CS badge model is said to be a no-compromise, rear-wheel-drive machine aimed squarely at enthusiasts. With more power, aggressive weight-cutting measures, and refined performance hardware, the new M2 CS positions itself as the most exhilarating iteration of the M2 to date. 2026 BMW M2 CS: Design A key hallmark of the CS badge is a diet focused on reducing mass without sacrificing structure, and the 2026 M2 CS delivers on that with numerous carbon-fiber elements. Key highlights include a unique ducktail rear spoiler, which is built into a carbon-fiber trunk lid, along with light alloy forged wheels and feral-looking styling that announces its track credentials. Also Read : BMW Concept Speedtop unveiled for the first time, limited to 70 units globally The carbon motif follows into the interior, where BMW has fitted race-inspired carbon bucket seats as standard fare. The overall curb weight stands at 3,770 pounds—lighter than even the manual version of the regular M2. 2026 BMW M2 CS: Chassis BMW has tuned every performance of the M2 CS to enhance control, precision, and driver engagement. The chassis gets stiffer springs and recalibrated adaptive dampers to ensure sharper handling characteristics. BMW M engineers have also fine-tuned the electronically controlled limited-slip differential, traction and stability control systems, and ABS for more consistent high-speed behavior. In keeping with CS tradition, the vehicle is offered exclusively with BMW's eight-speed automatic gearbox—there's no manual option here—but what it lacks in a stick shift, it makes up for with razor-sharp shifts and responsiveness. Also watch: BMW Changing the way how cars are purchased For those seeking maximum performance, BMW offers optional carbon-ceramic brakes for an additional cost, further reducing unsprung weight and improving braking endurance. 2026 BMW M2 CS: Specifications At the heart of the M2 CS lies a heavily tuned version of BMW's 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six engine. It delivers a robust 523 bhp and 649 Nm of torque—substantial gains over the standard M2's output. This power boost allows the M2 CS to sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 188 mph, making it one of the fastest two-door BMWs available. Stunning BMW Concept Speedtop is a Modern ‘Clown Shoe' That's Limited to 70 Vehicles

Rarer than an E90-generation BMW M3 GTS (150 examples), the limited-run BMW Concept Speedtop is made for collectors and enthusiasts with the most powerful V8 engine currently offered by BMW. Unveiled at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2025, it's a modern-day take on 'sporty Touring,' meaning it's a weekender with enough space in the back to fit two people's luggage. Like the 50 limited edition BMW Concept Skytops released last year, the BMW Concept Speedtop will be hard to get your hands on. If you haven't got the call to secure one of the 70 vehicles heading into production (rumoured to cost around €510,000), you've likely missed out! It draws similarity to the famous Z3 M 'Clown Shoe' with a shark-nose design, slim front lights, illuminated kidney grilles, and a central spline that runs from the bonnet over the roof to the rear spoiler to give it the 'dynamic Touring profile.' BMW Z3 2.8 coupe | Image: Supplied / BMW BMW 3.0 CSL | Image: Supplied / BMW BMW Concept Skytop | Image: BMW Like the BMW 3.0 CSL retro unveiled in 2022 and the BMW Concept Skytop unveiled in 2024, the new BMW Concept Speedtop continues the trend of limited edition, low production vehicles for BMW. Not only does this formula keep well-off brand enthusiasts involved in a world of tightening global emissions laws, but it's a guaranteed way to make a few million dollars in the process. Look at what Aston Martin has accomplished with the Valhalla, Valkyrie, Valiant, etc., to see how successful this is. Heck, look at most watch brands! Drawing our attention to the design again, you'll notice how the colour gradient on the roof shifts from 'Floating Sunstone Maroon' to 'Floating Sundown Silver,' to emphasise this 'dynamic Touring profile.' Broad shoulders and two-tone, 14-spoke wheels, designed specifically for the BMW Concept Speedtop, round out the key design features. 'The BMW Concept Speedtop is characterised first of all by its profile,' continued Hooydonk. 'It is very unique in the automotive industry. In this way, we have created an exclamation mark for our entire lineup of vehicles, especially for the Touring models.' BMW Concept Speedtop | Image: Supplied / BMW BMW Concept Speedtop | Image: Supplied / BMW BMW Concept Speedtop | Image: Supplied / BMW While BMW has made it their mission to add recycled materials and leather alternatives inside their standard production cars, the BMW Concept Speedtop throws all that out the window in search of premium leathers and traditional brogue-style details. Produced at the Manufactory workshop at the BMW Group plant in Dingolfing in collaboration with traditional Italian manufacturer Schedoni, the two-tone colours are the most eye-catching details inside, where that 'Floating Sunstone Maroon' exterior paint carries over into the interior alongside a brown 'Sundown Maroon' contrasted by the light 'Moonstone White' of the seats. Dynamic and functional areas are split by these colours while the roof spline on the exterior is mirrored as a light beam on the two-tone leather headliner, extending into the luggage compartment. Like a coachbuilt car of yesteryear, even the trunk area is leather-covered and refined with brogue-style perforations. Here, the boot is split into two sections, one allows large items of luggage to be stowed inside for multi-day trips, and the other is for smaller items. Behind the seats, a custom-made storage area with leather straps to provide space for two of Schedoni's made-to-measure bags. You can even pick up a matching weekend bag for storing in the trunk. BMW Concept Speedtop | Image: Supplied / BMW BMW Concept Speedtop | Image: Supplied / BMW BMW Concept Speedtop | Image: Supplied / BMW BMW Concept Speedtop | Image: Supplied / BMW Under the skin, the BMW Concept Speedtop is based on the current BMW 8 Series. More specifically, the M8 Competition, and that means it features the same 460kW/750Nm 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 and should accomplish the 0-100km/h sprint in around 3.2 seconds. 'Last year, the presentation of the BMW Concept Skytop at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este on Lake Como generated great enthusiasm among connoisseurs and automotive enthusiasts,' said Bernd Körber, Senior Vice President BMW Brand and Product Management. 'This led to a strictly limited production run of 50 units. Thanks to this positive response, this year we have decided to also offer the BMW Concept Speedtop in a limited production series of 70 units. This extraordinary vehicle is now available for order. We are pleased to be able to offer collectors and enthusiasts another exclusive model.'

BMW Concept Speedtop unveiled for the first time, limited to 70 units globally. Here's what it gets
Debuting at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in Italy, the new BMW Concept Speedtop is a reinterpretation of the brand's shooting-brake legacy Check Offers BMW Concept Speedtop, a limited production shooting brake based on the now discontinued BMW M8, has been unveiled by the German carmaker. Debuting at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in Italy, the new BMW Speedtop coupe is a reinterpretation of the brand's shooting-brake legacy. Building on the BMW Skytop convertible, which was unveiled last year, BMW has now confirmed that the Speedtop will make the leap from concept to reality—with just 70 units slated for production. This limited edition is aimed at collectors and purists looking for exclusivity and muscular performance in a stunning, retro-inspired package. Also Read : BMW Motorrad Concept RR revealed at Villa d'Este. Is this the future of BMW superbikes? BMW Concept Speedtop: Design With a silhouette that harks back to the legendary Z3 M Coupe—affectionately dubbed the "clown shoe"—and elements from the Z4 coupe concept, the Speedtop blends modern aggression with nostalgic charm. Its three-door shooting-brake design gives it a distinctive stance, exuding elegance and athleticism in equal measure. The body is finished in a custom 'Floating Sunstone' gradient, a mix of silver and maroon that changes color with the light. The custom coating is highlighted by the two-tone, 14-spoke alloy wheels made for this concept. While last year's Skytop had a warm brown interior, the Speedtop goes with a white leather colour scheme for a touch of class and contrast throughout the cabin and luggage sections. BMW Concept Speedtop: Features The Speedtop's interior represents artisanal luxury. For the interior of the Speedtop, BMW has collaborated with highly regarded Italian leather artisans Schedoni, to develop custom, hand stitched travel cases that are consistent with the car's design aesthetics. These custom travel cases fit conveniently into leather strapped compartments located behind the front seats, making the Speedtop functional—as well as fantastic— for extended journeys. Also Read : BMW Concept Skytop teased in India once again. To release soon in limited numbers The rear cargo space is divided into two parts, giving ample room for larger travel luggage. To further improve the cabin atmosphere, an ambient light strip has been incorporated into the cargo space—combining practicality and a touch of occasion. BMW Concept Speedtop: Specifications Beneath its sculpted hood, the Speedtop has some serious power to offer. Sharing its mechanical DNA with the BMW M8 Competition, it is powered by a 4.4-litre turbocharged V8 engine as stated with an imposing 460kW of power and 750Nm of torque. It's the most powerful non-electrified V8 in BMW's extensive lineup, with which we imagine will guarantee performance to match its exotic looks. While prices remain confidential, it is believed the Speedtop's price will well exceed the Skytop convertible's price of more than $570,000. Due to its rarity and ultra-custom, the Speedtop will likely become a collector's jewel in private collections internationally. Check out Upcoming Cars in India 2024, Best SUVs in India.
