BMW Malaysia unveils new iX xDrive60 M Sport and X5 xDrive40i M Sport
BMW Group Malaysia on Monday launched the new BMW iX xDrive60 M Sport and the new locally-assembled BMW X5 xDrive40i M Sport with an exclusive showcase at The Art of Driving 2025.
Set against the backdrop of one of Malaysia's most prestigious golf events, the unveiling of the two models showcases BMW Malaysia's commitment to driving the future of mobility through the progressive principles of "Technology Openness" and the "Power of Choice".
Alongside the new iX xDrive45 Sport, the new iX xDrive60 M Sport Pro and the new X5 xDrive40i M Sport will be available at all authorised BMW dealerships from July 25.
BMW Malaysia managiong director Benjamin Nagel said it sets out not only to expand its portfolio of offerings in Malaysia, but also to redefine what it means to experience luxury.
"For us, luxury is not defined by fine materials and craftsmanship alone - it is the power to choose. This is what we offer our customers through our guiding principles of Technology Openness and the Power of Choice.
"Today, we unveil our latest premium models, offering both petrol and fully electric powertrains. These models embody the best of design, innovation and sustainability.
The latest generation of the iX features a significantly sportier personality, new visuals at the front and rear, a considerable increase in power and a larger battery capacity.
Meanwhile, the X5, which entered its fourth generation in 2018, first saw an update with the introduction of the X5 xDrive50e M Sport plug-in hybrid in 2024.
Now, the unveiling of the new X5 xDrive40i M Sport marks the debut of an all-new Mild Hybrid variant to the BMW X5 line-up in Malaysia.
The latest variant offers a completely modernised front and rear sections and revised interior ambience, while retaining the core of the BMW DNA with an enhanced new generation of the iconic BMW six-cylinder in-line engine.
The xDrive45 Sport is priced at RM425,800 on-the-road without insurance, and RM460,700 with the extended five-year warranty and six-year service package.
