Ve Mahiya Song: Ibrahim Ali Khan-Starrer Sarzameen's New Track Out
Mumbai : Singer B Praak has lent his vocals to the 'Ve Mahiya' track from the 'Sarzameen' film. Here you can check out the song's video: Directed by Kayoze Irani, the film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran as Vijay Menon--a man torn between a father's love and a soldier's duty, Kajol as Meher--a mother who fights against all odds to keep her family intact, and Ibrahim Ali Khan as Harman--a vulnerable young man caught at a crossroads. Ibrahim Ali, in a press note, expressed his experience, saying, "Sarzameen is an emotional milestone I'll carry forever. It challenged me in ways I never imagined, not just as an actor, but as a person too. My character is torn between love, loyalty, and truth, and navigating that emotional spectrum was the most intense learning curve. It was a treasure trove to see Kajol Ma'am and Prithviraj Sir in action. They are so gracious and effortless in their art, and this pushed me to put my best foot forward. Kayoze too pushed me in all the right ways--he demanded depth, stillness, and vulnerability. I have put my heart and soul into Sarzameen and I hope the audiences enjoy watching the film. Stories like Sarzameen deserve to be seen and felt by everyone, everywhere." Sarzameen is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, and Apoorva Mehta under the banner of Dharma Productions. It will be out on JioHotstar on July 25.

'Shame on you': Diljit Dosanjh faces backlash for casting Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3; B Praak's cryptic post adds fuel to the fire
Punjabi actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh is currently drawing wrath on social media after releasing the trailer of his upcoming film Sardaar Ji 3 that features Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. Amid the ongoing online slamming, singer B Praak's post adds fuel to the fire. The backlash comes in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack in April 2025, after which the Indian film federations imposed a strict ban on Pakistani artists working in Indian films. Although the film Sardaar Ji 3 was shot before the attack, Diljit also announced that the film will not be released in India. Despite this, a section of social media users slammed the actor and called him insensitive and shameless for promoting a film during a tense time. B Praak's comment on Diljit Dosanjh's controversy Apart from the social media users, the Mann Bharrya singer shared a post regarding the same, which has added fuel to the fire. The post by B Praak read, "Kayin artist apna zameer he bech chuke ne. Fiteh mooh tuhade (Many artists have sold their conscience). Shame on you." In his post, Praak did not take any names, but social media users can't stop speculating that he is talking about Diljit Dosanjh. Netizens react to B Praak's post on Diljit Dosanjh As soon as the post surfaced on the internet, it quickly went viral, and it grabbed the eyeballs of netizens. One said, "Finally someone said the truth. nhi too so called celebrities ko too apne desh se zyada pak fans ki zyada chinta hai. (You're more concerned about Pakistani fans than your own country.) " "Finally!! Someone got spine," another added. "Couldn't agree more!," one said. "Fix your mentality. Or live in the country you support." While one wrote, "Ridiculous of you to question this! Nothing is and should be bigger than one's country, not even art! Where would have Diljit landed if Indians wouldn't have paid any heed? Why would have he casted Hania if Indians wouldn't have simped for her? All Hania does is making lip sync videos on "indian" music and that has given the real attention, fame and reach and not her work!" About Sardaar Ji 3 In addition to Diljit Dosanjh and Hania Aamir, Sardaar Ji 3 features Neeru Bajwa, Jasmin Bajwa, Manav Vij, Gulshan Grover, and several others in prominent roles. The film is scheduled for an international release on June 27. Directed by Amar Hundal and penned by Rakesh Dhawan, the movie is co-produced by Diljit himself along with Gunbir Singh Sidhu and Manmord Sidhu.

B Praak Slams Diljit Dosanjh Over Hania Aamir Controversy? Says 'Apna Zameer Hi Bech...'
Last Updated: Even though B Praak did not name anyone in his post, the timing of his note has left netizens wondering if he is slamming Diljit Dosanjh. Looks like Punjabi singer B Praak has taken a dig at her fellow singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh. The latter has been facing backlash for casting Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in his movie Sardaar Ji 3. Amid all this, B Praak recently took to his Instagram stories and penned down a cryptic note. The Mann Bharrya singer wrote, 'Kayin artist apna zameer hi bech chuke ne. Fitte muh tuhade 🤮👎🏼" This roughly translates to, 'Some artists have sold their conscience." Even though B Praak did not name anyone in his post, the timing of his note has left netizens wondering if he is slamming Diljit Dosanjh. Why Is Diljit Dosanjh Facing Backlash? Diljit Dosanjh has been facing backlash and boycott calls in India for featuring Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in his next movie, Sardaar Ji 3. Recently, BN Tiwari, President of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), slammed Diljit for working with Hania, and demanded a complete ban on all his projects. In a conversation with Hindustan Times, FWICE President said that they are imposing a strict ban on all future films, songs, and projects involving him. 'We have called for a strict ban on all upcoming films, songs or any other sort of projects. We will also issue a formal letter on the same today. Along with Diljit, we have also called for a ban on the producers of the film regarding all their upcoming films," he said. Later, it was announced that while Sardaar Ji 3, directed by Amar Hundal, is set for an overseas release on June 27, it will not be released in Indian theatres. While Diljit has not reacted to the controversy as of now, he recently spoke to Grammy with Recording Academy President Panos A. Panay, in which he said that music unites nations, and that he feels people need to look beyond nations and focus on Mother Earth. 'Countries are at war, and we don't have control over these things. But I believe music is something that unites nations. I feel blessed to be part of something that spreads love across nations," he said. First Published: June 24, 2025, 13:04 IST
