Britney Spears drops clue about new career move after smoking on plane saga
Britney Spears is one step closer to launching a surprising new business venture that has absolutely nothing to do with singing, dancing, or performing. On May 16, the 43-year-old Grammy winner's attorney Peter Nussbaum filed a trademark application with the US Patent and Trademark Office for her first-ever jewelry brand, B. Tiny - according to the website. Britney created the line through her limited liability company Baby One More Mark, LLC; and her completed application is currently pending approval from an assigned examiner. Spears teased a glimpse of a new white flower choker while aboard a JSX private plane from Cabo San Lucas to LA last Thursday where she got into trouble for lighting up a cigarette. 'You guys like my flower choker?' the semi-retired pop star asked her 41.8M Instagram followers last Friday. Tiny is coming soon and that's something we have added! It's honestly adorable!' Britney first announced B. Tiny on November 3 and she shared a video of her right hand wearing a blue gemstone hand chain. 'My first jewelry line coming soon! Delicate, extremely different, and one-of-a-kind pieces!' Spears revealed. 'I'm so excited! Realizing how cool it is to be an artist that can be passionate in so many different ways! B. Tiny coming soon! Girls you're gonna f***ing love it!' The Hold Me Closer hitmaker is also said to be very hands on with her fully-authorized biopic for Universal Pictures, which is still in the developmental stage. On March 23, director Jon M. Chu shut down speculation over whether Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, Millie Bobby Brown, Emma Roberts, Sydney Sweeney, Addison Rae, Florence Pugh, Tate McRae, or Olivia Holt were in contention to play Britney. 'None of this is true,' the 45-year-old Wicked filmmaker tweeted. 'Sounds exciting but have not had one conversation about casting this movie yet. We are way too early in development. Sorry.' On August 1, Universal 'paid in the low eight figures' for the rights to Spears' NY Times-bestselling 2023 memoir The Woman In Me and music catalogue in the movie from producer Marc Platt. Simon & Schuster originally paid the Mississippi-born singer a $12.5M advance (25% of the net profits) to pen the critically-acclaimed tell-all with three alleged ghostwriters - Ada Calhoun, Sam Lansky, and Luke Dempsey. On the personal front, Britney made her final $20K child support payment to second ex-husband Kevin Federline on November 15 for their 18-year-old son Jayden James (their eldest son Sean Preston is 19). Spears divorced the 47-year-old former back-up dancer in 2007 after only two years of wedded bliss.

TMZ reported how Britney caused a scene when she started drinking while flying home on a private jet with her security from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Flight attendants were reportedly shocked when she pulled out a cigarette and lit it mid-flight. The AMA winner put out the cigarette when asked. However, cops still confronted her when she landed at Los Angeles International Airport, per the outlet. She was reportedly issued a warning and then allowed to go free. Customs and Border Protection didn't immediately respond to The U.S. Sun's request for comment. LAX police and the LAPD also haven't returned The U.S. Sun's request for comment. The commotion comes after reports that Spears was sober just last year. "She is sober and does not do drugs," a source close to the singer told the Daily Mail in November. "She has a glass of wine now and then, but she does not have a substance abuse problem and has people around her to make sure that she stays on the straight and narrow." It's unclear if Britney is still sober. Last week, she appeared to be enjoying her trip to Cabo when she posted a video of her dancing around and wearing lingerie. Her onboard cigarette lighting comes after she was seen carrying a grill lighter onto a jet on her birthday in December. Grill lighters are typically not allowed on aircraft due to the risk of having flammable materials in a small space, while disposable and Zippo lights are permitted. In 2020, Britney revealed that she accidentally burned down her home gym with two candles months earlier. "It was an accident… but yes… I burnt it down," she wrote on Instagram at the time. "I walked past the door to the gym and flames BOOM !!!!!! "By the Grace of God the alarm went off after that and yippy hoorah nobody got hurt."
