A well-known steakhouse is coming to the Fishers District. Here's what else is planned
Corrections and clarifications:This story was updated to reflect that the Indianapolis-based Prime 47 has a different owner. A steakhouse by the owner of Prime 47 at Carmel's Clay Terrace will open at The Crossings at Fishers District near the Fishers Event Center. The plan was revealed during a groundbreaking by BW Development for the Crossings, part of the larger $750 million, 123-acre Fishers District expansion of homes, offices and retail spots that includes other sections called the Union and Slate at Fishers District. The $30 million Crossings development will offer 30,000 square feet of restaurant space north of 106 Street and east of I-69. 'The restaurant and retail offerings coming to The Crossing will help shape the experience around the Fishers Event Center, creating year-round energy and amenities for our residents, visitors, and event-goers,' Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness said at the groundbreaking. The owner of Prime 47 in Carmel, Jeremiah Hamman, has not decided on a name for the Fishers location, a restaurant spokeswoman said. The ownership group of Prime 47 in Carmel is separate from the owners of the Prime 47 in downtown Indianapolis and is not affiliated with it. Missouri-based Chicken N Pickle, a restaurant and sports bar with pickleball courts, also has plans to open at The Crossings. The Union has several restaurants signed, including those serving Mexican, Japanese and Thai food. 'We're proud to continue building in Fishers and to contribute to a city that's growing with purpose,' said Brad Battin, president of BW Development.
