Mangaluru's Father Muller Hospital to start new child development centre on August 12
MANGALURU: Father Muller Medical College Hospital will inaugurate its new unit, Baandavya Child Development Centre (CDC), on August 12, offering comprehensive services dedicated to the growth, development, and well-being of children.
Dr Anil Shetty K, Professor and Head of the Department of Paediatrics, told reporters on Saturday that Baandavya CDC was designed as a multidisciplinary hub providing development assessment, counselling, interventions, parental education, and personalised therapy for children and adolescents with developmental delays, learning difficulties, behavioural disorders, autism, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), speech and language challenges, and motor skill issues.
The centre will bring together the expertise of developmental paediatricians, child psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, audiologists, speech and language pathologists, paediatric physiotherapists, counsellors, special educators, occupational therapists, and nutritionists under one roof.
With Father Muller Medical College and Hospital's 145-year legacy of quality care and compassionate service, the centre aims to deliver care through a collaborative, evidence-based, and family-centred approach at nominal cost, Dr Shetty added.
The inaugural ceremony will be attended by consultant neurologist and medical director of First Neuro Hospital Dr Rajesh Shetty, Father Muller Charitable Institutions Director Rev Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo, and other dignitaries.
