Olivia Rodrigo always carries cheese in her handbag to remind her of childhood

Olivia Rodrigo always carries cheese in her handbag to remind her of her childhood. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, 22, made the admission while speaking on Vogue's 'In the Bag' video series, in which celebrities share the contents of their handbags. She said about what she always carries: 'I love Babybel so much. I love eating it and I love playing with the wax and making wax statues out of it.' Olivia, who brought a vintage cheetah-printed Fendi bag to the Vogue shoot, said she regularly travels with a Babybel cheese tucked inside. She also explained that the snack wasn't just about taste — it was also a nostalgic habit that brought her closer to friends. 'My friends make fun of me for it, especially this one because they think it's particularly elementary,' she said. Olivia added: 'We would trade each other little statues that we made out of (the red wax covering). I don't even remember what we made — we must have been really creative 'cause this is not very malleable. (I) always keep that locked and loaded.' The 'Bad Idea Right?' and 'Vampire' singer's bag also contained more typical items, including a wide-brimmed hat, over-the-ear Bluetooth headphones, a Lâncome Juicy Tube lip gloss attached to her keys, playing cards, a tea bag, a journal, sunglasses and various makeup products. Olivia has become known for her mix of classic and contemporary style and her love of vintage handbags. On 25 April, she was photographed carrying Chanel's 'Nubuck Natural' Beauty Tote Bag in black suede, dating back to 2012, while out in New York City. She paired the accessory with a sleeveless black shirt, khaki trousers and black-and-white Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Canvas Low Top Sneakers. The day before, on 24 April, Olivia attended the Planned Parenthood Gala, where she received the 2025 Catalyst of Change award for her advocacy on reproductive rights. At the event, she wore Gucci's Horsebit gown in ivory, accessorised with a custom reflective silver version of the brand's Bamboo Night Small Glossed-Leather Shoulder Bag.

Olivia Rodrigo Keeps an Emergency Cheese Inside Her Vintage Bag

'I've been so into animal print lately,' Olivia Rodrigo says of her vintage leopard print Fendi bag—a gift from a friend. But not only is it fashionable, it's functional. 'I kinda schlep around a lot of stuff,' she admits. Rodrigo loves all things cute, and the contents of her bag more than prove it. Take her phone, which she keeps in a maroon puffer case. 'It reminds me of like a little jacket to keep my phone warm,' she says. (Her screen time? Only four hours. Talk about a brag!) On her keys, she affixed a little bear keychain she got in Japan. She also got a matching one for her best friend. 'It has a little hat that comes off,' Rodrigo coos. 'I love when they have accessories and you can dress them up.' Don't worry, though, the bear isn't lonely: she also has a bunny that she got in Amsterdam (yes, it has a hat, too). 'I'm obsessed with this game called Cambio,' Rodrigo says, pulling a deck of playing cards from her purse. While she admits that she can't find the rules online, she teaches the English pub game to members of her tour and friends around the world. Though she claims she's gatekeeping the rules, 'I am spreading the word, spreading the gospel about this game. It's so much fun, it's addicting.' With random spurts of free time on tour, Rodrigo also keeps a book handy. Her latest read was gifted to her by the singer St. Vincent, who inadvertently helped inspire Rodrigo's song 'All-American Bitch' by giving her Joan Didion's Slouching Towards Bethlehem. '[A teenage hippie] called their mom an 'all-American bitch,' and I thought that that was really cool,' she says, 'so I circled it.' Here, watch Olivia Rodrigo show us the contents of her bag, from the Babybel cheese she's obsessed with to her favorite fragrance. McVities says we've been eating Chocolate Digestives wrong for 100 years

There are some foods that you can very obviously eat 'wrong'. Biting into a pomegranate like an apple would be one example, or chomping a Babybel without removing the red wax first. But did you know you've probably been eating Chocolate Digestive biscuits incorrectly your entire life? You're not alone in this though, as apparently it's been happening for the last 100 years. According to the experts over at McVities, who have been producing the iconic biscuit since 1925, the snack is supposed to be eaten with the biscuit side facing up and the chocolate side down, so that it's on your tongue. Speaking to the BBC, Anthony Coulson, the general manager of the company's biscuits factory, explained that this is the way the product was originally designed to be eaten. This is because the chocolate side has always been considered the 'bottom' of the biscuit. While some will probably think it's nonsense to worry about which way a biscuit is shoved into their gob, it turns out this 'chocolate goes on the bottom' rule doesn't just apply to Digestives, but but Hobnobs and even Jaffa Cakes too. A McVities spokesperson previously told Metro: 'When we make our McVitie's chocolate biscuits – whether that be Chocolate Hobnobs, Chocolate Digestives, or Jaffa Cakes – they go through a reservoir of chocolate on the production line. 'This essentially 'enrobes' the bottom in chocolate – so we can confirm that the chocolate is officially on the bottom of the biscuits.' Which way do you eat Chocolate Digestives? Couldn't care less where the chocolate is, it still tastes great And if this revelation has blown your mind, it might also shock you to learn that you've probably been dunking your biscuits wrong as well. McVities previously worked with scientist Dr Helen Pilcher to discover what the 'optimal' dunking conditions were for their most popular products, and she revealed that the average biscuit should absorb 20% of its original weight in liquid for the best dunk. More Trending And this happens much faster than you might realise, according to the expert. So you really don't need to dunk for long. When it comes to Chocolate Digestives, Dr Pilcher says the optimal dunking time is 3.6 seconds, and you'll be in the dunking 'danger zone' if you get close to 12 seconds. She also advised dunking the chocolate biscuits in Earl Grey tea instead of an English Breakfast.
