Saudi film ‘The Seven Dogs' begins production with record $40m budget
'The Seven Dogs' will be the first film shot at Big Time Studios.
Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority, has announced the start of filming for his new movie, The Seven Dogs . The film, featuring Arab actors Karim Abdel-Aziz and Ahmed Ezz, marks a major milestone in Middle Eastern cinema with a production budget exceeding $40m.
Al-Sheikh shared the news on his Facebook account, posting a photo of the two stars and describing the occasion as a historic moment for both his career and the Arab film industry. He revealed that the film is based on his own story, developed by the Big Time team, with a screenplay written by Mohamed El Dabbah. The project is being helmed by international directors Adel and Bilal, best known for their work on Bad Boys III .
This film marks another collaboration between Abdel-Aziz and Ezz, who previously starred together in Kira & El Gin , a widely acclaimed box-office hit.
The Seven Dogs is also the first production to be shot at the newly launched Al-Hisn Big Time Studios, reportedly one of the largest and most advanced film production facilities in the Middle East.
While plot details remain undisclosed, the project aims to set a new benchmark for Arab cinema with its ambitious scale and cutting-edge filmmaking techniques.
