Martin Compston revealed worst thing about his 41st birthday
The Line of Duty star celebrated his 41st birthday on Thursday, May 8, 2025.
However, while the Scots TV icon was thankful for all the 'lovely birthday wishes', he revealed the 'worst thing' about his acting career.
In an Instagram post, the actor said the worst thing about his job was 'being away from family' on special occasions.
(Image: Instagram) But it wasn't all doom and gloom, he went on to claim the 'best thing' about acting is that the people he works with are usually 'fookin immense'.
As a gift for his birthday, Martin received Irn Bru, some scran, and a couple of bottles of whisky.

In the social media post, Martin said: "Thanks for all the lovely birthday wishes, troops.
"Worst thing about this job is more often than not being away from family for occasions.
"The best thing about it is more often than not, the people you work with are fookinn immense.
"Huge love to Red Eye 2 crew and Bad Wolf TV for my holy trinity. Irn Bru, Wing Truck, and Maker's Mark.
"Suddenly, a birthday in an abandoned car park in Watford is pretty spectacular."
The 41-year-old actor, who is from Greenock, is known for his roles in Line of Duty, Sweet Sixteen, and The Wee Man.
