Disha Parmar Misses Father On Death Anniversary: ‘8 Years Since I Last Saw You'

Disha Parmar, known for her role in Bade Acche Lagte Hain, remembered her late father on his death anniversary today. It has been eight years since his passing, and the actress shared an emotional note on social media expressing how deeply she misses him.
Reflecting on her journey of healing and coping with grief, Disha posted a heartfelt message and a screenshot of a note she wrote for her father on her Instagram Stories, opening up about how her life has changed over these years.
'8 Years… 8 years since I last saw you, touched you or heard you. Yes, I have healed… it doesn't hurt that much… I don't cry that much… But whenever I am emotionally derailed for another reason, the first thought that comes to my mind is you… because the pain of losing you was/is bigger than anything else," she wrote.
'You are and always will be my No 1. I don't pray or ask for anything from God… because I have my version of him up there making sure I have everything I want. Miss you Papa… miss you more than I can ever put in words," she added.
On the personal front, Disha Parmar is married to singer Rahul Vaidya. The couple met during the shoot of a music video, and their bond grew stronger over time. Rahul proposed to her during his stint on the reality TV show Bigg Boss 14. The couple later tied the knot in 2021 in an intimate ceremony in Mumbai. In September 2023, the couple became proud parents of a baby girl, whom they named Navya.
Professionally, Disha was last seen in the television serial Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 3. She portrayed Dr Priya Sood opposite Nakuul Mehta. Currently on a break from acting, reports suggest she may soon return to the screens alongside her husband in a new reality show titled Pati Patni Aur Panga. An official confirmation is still pending, but the couple is expected to join the likes of Hina Khan-Rocky Jaiswal and Gurmeet Choudhary-Debina Bonnerjee in the upcoming show.
