Helen Mirren Brings the Drama in Badgley Mischka's Farewell Dress With Fascinator and Statement Necklace for Cannes Film Festival 2025 Red Carpet

Helen Mirren brought theatrical sensibility to the red carpet for the 'La Venue de l'Avenir' premiere during the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday. The Oscar-winning actress embraced statement accessories with nods to dark glamour. For the premiere, Mirren opted for a custom design courtesy of Badgley Mischka. The gown marked the final design from the fashion label's founders Mark Badgley and James Mischka. Established Incorporated announced in April the company set up a strategic joint venture with ACI Licensing to acquire Badgley Mischka, among other lifestyle brands. The ensemble was crafted with a form-fitting silhouette and included such exaggerated elements as sharp shoulders. At the waist, an aquamarine sash was added, with a bow at the back, and long flowing fabric to the red carpet. Along with the dress, accessories worn by 'The Queen' actress added to the overall theatricality of her attire. The actress paired the dress with a seafoam aquamarine and pearl necklace, which featured two strands connected to aquamarine gems in a tiered style with a pearl at the end. Mirren also wore pearl earrings to complement the necklace. Jewelry was provided by Margot McKinney. To complete her look, the actress added a black fascinator with sheer elements and a statement black flower by Karen Millen. Final touches on Mirren's look included shoes by Sole Bliss and a bag by Ahikoza. Mirren's look was curated by stylist and costume designer Lee Harris. With the acquisition of Badgley Mischka, along with such brands as C&C California and Kay Unger Design, founders Mark Badgley and James Mischka will step away from the brand they founded roughly 37 years ago in New York City. Badgley and Mischka are not affiliated with the new venture, but they will continue to appear on HSN through their affiliation with the Badgley Mischka dress licensee MJCLK. The 2025 Cannes Film Festival concludes on Saturday. Films premiering at this year's festival include Wes Anderson's 'The Phoenician Scheme,' Julia Ducournau's 'Alpha' and Lynne Ramsay's 'Die, My Love.' Berry and Jeremy Strong, among others, serve on the 2025 jury alongside jury president Juliette Binoche. View Gallery Launch Gallery: Cannes Film Festival 2025 Red Carpet Fashion: Taraji P.
