Nearly eight months after his discharge, J-Hope reunited with his former comrades during the 2025 Homecoming Day.
Jung Hoseok, also known as J-Hope of BTS, completed his military service in October 2024. After a brief time off, he jumped right back into the limelight with variety show appearances and new music. Currently, he is busy with both his solo and group activities following the discharge of all the members of BTS. Despite his jam-packed schedule, the idol took time out to meet with his military buddies.
Nearly eight months after his discharge, J-Hope reunited with his former comrades during the 2025 Homecoming Day. As reported by AllKpop, the ceremony took place at the Baekho Recruit Training Battalion of the 36th Infantry Division in Wonju, Gangwon Province. The date of the event has not been specified.
J-Hope served as the assistant instructor at the same unit during his mandatory military service. He made a surprise visit to the centre and received a warm welcome from his fellow reservists. In pictures from the ceremony, the 31-year-old idol was seen posing with some individuals as well as the entire battalion.
One photo showed J-Hope posing with his former unit, all of whom made the 'Killin' It Girl' pose with their hands. They were standing behind a banner, which read, 'We welcome the return of Baekho Recruit Training Battalion reservists." FYI, J-Hope enlisted in the military in April 2023 as an active-duty soldier and was discharged on October 17, 2024. During his tenure, he served as an assistant instructor.

As for what he has been up to since his military discharge, J-Hope released three back-to-back non-album singles. First was Sweet Dreams, feat. Miguel, following which he debuted Mona Lisa. Both songs were released in March of this year. Three months later, on the occasion of BTS's 12th debut anniversary on June 13, he dropped the third and final single Killin' It Girl, featuring GloRilla. The track was on the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100 for two consecutive weeks and continues to dominate charts, both domestically and globally.
Besides this, J-Hope also recently finished his first-ever solo world tour, titled Hope on the Stage. It began in South Korea on February 28 and ended on June 14, after successful shows in the US, Mexico, Indonesia, Thailand and Japan, among other countries. As of now, J-Hope is set to headline Lollapalooza Berlin on July 13.
