Watch Brian Baldinger break down film of new Broncos DE Sai'vion Jones .@LSUfootball DL; Sai'vion Jones sure looks like he is going to be a factor in the NFL. Size and production who plays the game the right way. #nfldraft #BaldysBreakdowns — Brian Baldinger (@BaldyNFL) April 14, 2025 The Denver Broncos selected Sai'vion Jones in the third round of the 2025 NFL draft. Fresh out of LSU, Jones, with his size (6-6, 280 pounds), appears to be a steal for Denver as it bolsters its defense. In his last year in the Bayou, he amassed 40 tackles (eight for loss) and 4.5 sacks. It appears media pundits love the move on the Broncos' end. In a recent video shared on Twitter/X, NFL analyst Brian Baldinger spotlighted Jones. Baldinger praised his potential as a future NFL standout, in which his size appears more promising than his college stats. Baldinger would also highlight Jones's combination of size and production, noting that he "plays the game the right way, ' to say the least. Check out the clip above to see what the Broncos will work with on their defensive front seven. While his stats seem underwhelming, head coach Sean Payton appears confident that can unlock Jones potential. Related: These 25 celebrities are Broncos fans.

Seahawks draft OL Grey Zabel: How he fits, pick grade and scouting intel
The Seattle Seahawks added some protection along the offensive line, selecting North Dakota State center Grey Zabel with the No. 18 pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Starting 40 of his 62 games at North Dakota State, Zabel started games at both tackle spots and both guard spots. His senior year saw Zabel start all 16 games at left tackle, earning him consensus All-American honors and first-team All-MVFC. Advertisement Despite playing at the FCS level, Zabel has held his own against better talent. After accepting an invitation to the Senior Bowl, Zabel was voted the overall practice player of the week. He also has experience playing alongside NFL talent as part of a North Dakota State offensive line that included Cordell Volson (a 2022 fourth-round pick) and Cody Mauch (a 2023 second-rounder). In 2024, Zabel was part of a high-volume rushing offense that dominated FCS. North Dakota State finished its season with 3,093 rushing yards and 38 touchdowns on the ground, both fourth-most in the FCS. Their 654 rushing attempts were the second most in the FCS. Zabel ranked No. 32 in Dane Brugler's top 300 big board. Here's what Brugler had to say about him in his annual NFL Draft guide: 'Whether out in space or in confined areas, Zabel shines as a run blocker with his athletic range and grip strength to connect, strain and seal lanes. In pass protection, he can be walked back and surrender depth versus power, but he mirrors well and stays balanced through contact as he refits his hands to grind bull rushes to a halt. Overall, Zabel must prove he can consistently anchor against NFL power, but his light, flexible movements and strong hands keep pass rushers busy and displace defenders in the run game. A college tackle, he projects best inside at either center or guard, where he will compete for immediate starting reps and offer Pro Bowl upside.' What an anonymous coach had to say about Zabel in Bruce Feldman's mock draft: 'He's a talented, physical kid. I don't think he's quite as good as (Tampa Bay Buccaneers guard) Cody Mauch or (Buffalo Bills tackle) Spencer Brown, but I think he's better than (New Orleans Saints first-round tackle) Trevor Penning. Grey is a really good athlete, but I think Mauch bent better and was more of a mauler.' .@NDSUfootball @GreyZabel took more 1 on 1 reps at the @seniorbowl than any other OL…and at nearly every position. Seemed like he won every rep #nfldraft #BaldysBreakdowns — Brian Baldinger (@BaldyNFL) March 2, 2025 Come back later for more analysis of Zabel.

Former Raiders GM Mike Mayock has high praise for Jahdae Barron
Former Raiders GM Mike Mayock has high praise for Jahdae Barron Former Raiders GM Mike Mayock holds Jahdae Barron in regard .@TexasFootball @Officia1dae Jahdae Barron, Thorpe Award Winner, can line up and play anywhere. So versatile, So productive. He wont wait very long before his name gets announced on April 24. #Longhorns #BaldysBreakdowns — Brian Baldinger (@BaldyNFL) April 1, 2025 In less than two weeks, teams across the NFL will add future stars to their rosters in the NFL draft. The Longhorns are expected to have plenty to celebrate, with Kelvin Banks Jr., Matthew Golden, Jaydon Blue, and Quinn Ewers predicted to be picked in the first three rounds. Another former Longhorn who is also drawing a lot of interest is Jahdae Barron. The talented defensive back is coming off the best season of his college career. In his final year as a Longhorn, Barron set career highs in total tackles with 67 and interceptions with five. Due to his play, Barron won the Jim Thorpe Award, which is given to the best defensive back in the nation. While Barron's play made headlines, he also caught the attention of NFL executives, including former Raiders GM Maycock. In an interview with Betway Insider, Maycock highlighted the former Longhorns star when asked what prospects might be taken higher than expected. "I would look at the Texas corner-slash-nickel, Jahdae Baron," Maycock said during the interview. "Most people have him as the third or fourth corner in the draft, but I think some teams around the lake really like this kid. I like the kid. He's aggressive, quick, tough, he's got position versatility where he can kick inside and play nickel and compete at a high level." It would not be surprising to see Maycock's prediction come true. Over the last few weeks, Barron has been linked to many different teams as organizations look for impact players in the secondary. He has been connected to the Raiders, Vikings, Cardinals, and Commanders during the pre-draft process. Any of those teams would benefit from having Barron on their defense. Regardless of where Barron ends up, he shouldn't have to wait long once the draft starts to find out where his NFL career will begin.

X reacts to Commanders' trade for wide receiver Deebo Samuel
The Washington Commanders made their first move of the offseason Saturday by trading a fifth-round pick to the San Francisco 49ers for wide receiver Deebo Samuel. The trade does not become official until the new league year begins on March 12. Samuel, 29, has one year remaining on a contract extension he signed in 2022. For his career, Samuel has caught 334 passes for 4,792 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns. He's also rushed for over 1,000 yards and scored 20 rushing touchdowns. Samuel may no longer be the running back threat he once was, but the Commanders are confident that offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury can get the most out of him. Of Washington's rumored wide receiver options, many fans were split on Samuel, believing his best football may be behind him. But for the cost of a fifth-round draft pick, it's a worthwhile move for the Commanders to add more help around quarterback Jayden Daniels. Adding Samuel does not preclude Washington from adding more receiver help in free agency or the NFL draft. Speaking of reactions, here are some of the best reactions from X — formerly Twitter. Deebo will be a perfect fit with Commanders. He is strong, great blocker, can line up in slot or outside and excellent after the catch. Just what they needed. — Jay Gruden (@Coach_JayGruden) March 2, 2025 Offense got better today. I'll take paying $17.5 million to upgrade as substantial as we did today. — Bleeding Burgundy & Gold (@BleedinBnG) March 2, 2025 Offense got better today. I'll take paying $17.5 million to upgrade as substantial as we did today. — Bleeding Burgundy & Gold (@BleedinBnG) March 2, 2025 Deebo Samuel is in the final year of his contract. He will come to Washington motivated and ready to play. — Chris Bryant (@HogfarmerChris) March 2, 2025 New All-22 on @AthlonSports: How will Deebo Samuel fit with the @Commanders after the big trade? Given what Deebo is great at, and what Kliff Kingsbury and Jayden Daniels did in 2024, it looks like a perfect marriage. — Doug Farrar ✍ (@NFL_DougFarrar) March 2, 2025 Before u start talking shit about Deebo being washed, remember how Ekeler was washed. Wagner was washed. Ertz was washed. 🤷♂️ — Commies Mommies🐷 (@CommiesMommies) March 1, 2025 The @Commanders new trio 🔥 — NFL (@NFL) March 2, 2025 .@49ers @Commanders @19problemz just made the NFC EAST a whole lot more physical; a whole lot more competitive. Welcome Deebo. #BaldysBreakdowns — Brian Baldinger (@BaldyNFL) March 2, 2025 Don't gotta love or hate the trade The WR room got better And the offense added versatilityLet's see how it goes — Rio Robinson (@Rio_Robinson91) March 2, 2025 The Cowboys traded more to acquire Jonathan Mingo than the Commanders paid the Niners for Deebo Samuel. — Ed Werder (@WerderEdNFL) March 2, 2025 Very interesting trade for washington here. Good value for a 5th, but i really don't see him doing any damage. But what do i know, he could be very good in that system. — 🦅Dose🦅 (@DailyBirds302) March 1, 2025 Discussed the Deebo to #Commanders possibility on yesterday's at 29:58 mark below on @ApplePodcasts or anywhere else you get a pod incl rounder= worth it. Love the fit. Love the move. — Kevin Sheehan (@kevinsheehanDC) March 2, 2025 If Deebo Samuel is healthy I like him to bounce back from '24. He'll make some huge plays. Legit Commanders offense just got harder to stop. Interestingly, Samuel at 29 is younger than projected fellow weapons -- McLaurin, Ekeler and Ertz. WSH still needs to add youth/ speed. — Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) March 2, 2025 Scary Terry McLaurin #1 WRDeebo Samuel's Daniels is smiling EAR TO EAR right now. And Adam Peters is already in his bag this offseason. 🔥 — Robert Griffin III (@RGIII) March 2, 2025 This article originally appeared on Commanders Wire: X reactions to Commanders big trade for 49ers WR Deebo Samuel
