Bamboo Inovasia Launches Eco-Friendly NFC Card Made From Bamboo
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 19 (Bernama) -- Bamboo Inovasia, a brand under SMR Creations Sdn Bhd, has launched its Bamboo Near Field Communication (NFC) Card, made from natural bamboo, in conjunction with the company's participation in the ASEAN Sustainable Urbanisation Forum (ASUF) 2025.
In a statement, SMR Creations said the eco-friendly smart card, equipped with NFC technology, is designed for professionals, entrepreneurs, corporate firms, government agencies, non-governmental organisations and educational institutions to replace the use of traditional business cards. cards.
'The Bamboo NFC Card enables the sharing of professional information with a single tap on a smartphone, without requiring the printing or distribution of paper cards.
'The card can be updated digitally without the need for reprinting, providing long-term savings, durability and a modern professional image,' it said.
The card was launched at the ASUF held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre here from Aug 12 to 14.
According to SMR Creations, proceeds from every card purchase will be channelled to the bamboo planting programme, carried out as part of the company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Meanwhile, SMR Creations project chief executive officer Khairul Azizi Amat Tokimin said the card represents a future solution for professional networking.
'With NFC technology, we are modernising the way information is shared while reducing the environmental impact of single-use paper cards,' he said in the same statement.
During the three-day ASUF 2025, Bamboo Inovasia's Bamboo NFC Card drew the interest of over 1,000 visitors, reflecting its strong potential in the regional market.
