Shake Shack Just Released Its Best Lineup of Summer Shakes Yet—Fans Say 'I Need All of These'
With "shake" in its name, you can guarantee that Shake Shack will hardly ever miss when releasing a new lineup of milkshakes. And their latest drop is a perfect example of this dessert-y dedication. In an Instagram post shared by food influencer @snackolator this week, he revealed that the burger joint is releasing not one, not two, but three new shakes as part of its Summer Shake Menu. And let's just say that they are insanely decadent. Related: One shake takes its cue from a very popular dessert while the other offerings find their inspiration from a carnival treat and a summer camp fave. The three new shakes now available at Shake Shack include: Oreo Cookie Funnel Cake Shake: Oreo cookies and funnel cake crunch hand-spun with vanilla frozen custard, topped with whipped cream and Oreo cookie crumbles. Banana Pudding Shake: Banana pudding frozen custard made with real banana hand-spun with vanilla wafer cookies, topped with whipped cream and vanilla wafer cookie crumble. Campfire S'mores Shake: Vanilla frozen custard hand-spun with graham cracker, chocolate and toasted marshmallow fudge chunks, topped with whipped cream and s'more crumbles With so many other Banana Pudding-inspired milkshakes on the market, fans did reveal that they're the most skeptical about that particular flavor. Related: "I'm not even gonna get excited & compare it to chick fil a's BP milkshake… we'll see," one person wrote. "Will anything ever top Zaxby's banana pudding milkshake though ??" another person asked. Despite their skepticism, there's still plenty of excitement in the comments section of @snackolator's post. "I need all of these," read one comment. "Ughhhhh I want to try alll 3 😍," another user chimed in. Keep in mind that the new shakes are seasonal, so if you have a favorite, be sure to act fast! Popular New Zealand-style ice cream spot Zeds opens second Austin location
Austin's Tarrytown neighborhood has a new spot for frozen indulgence: Zeds, an ice cream shop bringing a taste of New Zealand to 2727 Exposition Blvd #128. This second location joins their original shop at 1814 Harvey St., expanding their fruitful approach to ice cream. Forget pre-made flavors. At Zeds, the magic happens as a base of classic vanilla ice cream meets a selection of freshly sliced fruits. This New Zealand-style technique creates a treat with a soft serve-like texture and naturally infused color that reflects the fruit within. Imagine biting into a creamy swirl bursting with the bright taste of strawberries, the tropical tang of pineapple, or the sweet comfort of banana. Beyond these familiar favorites, Zeds also offers options like blackberries and peaches, inviting customers to explore a spectrum of flavor possibilities with each made-to-order creation. The dedication to natural ingredients, promising a pure taste experience in every lick, distinguishes Zeds from shops that rely on artificial flavorings. But the customization doesn't stop at the fruit. For an extra touch, drizzle your creation with options like chocolate, coconut, chamoy, caramel, la lechera, honey, or peanut butter for 75 cents. A tempting array of toppings awaits as well, from the kick of tajin to the crunch of Oreo, cookie dough bites and gummy bears. Toppings are available for an extra 50 cents. For those seeking curated combinations, Zeds offers ice cream specials like the Banana Pudding, the Chocolate Strawberry Cookie, and the Toasted Coconut Blue. And if sipping is more your style, any of their fruit flavors can be transformed into a milkshake. Beyond frozen treats, Zeds also caters to other cravings, serving coffee, beer, wine, and tea. Just a heads-up for caffeine aficionados: specialty coffee service concludes at 5 p.m., while the ice cream magic begins daily at noon. Boars Nest distillery opening its doors in Randolph County
HARMAN, (WBOY) — Boars Nest is a new distillery opening in Harman, West Virginia with its grand opening slated for Saturday, Feb. 1. Owned and operated by Sheldon Vance and his wife Rebecca, Boars Nest wants to give visitors an extra reason to visit Harman, a small town tucked away in Randolph County near Canaan Valley. The former electrician said he has been distilling moonshine as a hobby with his friend for some time but started plans to turn it into a family business last year. 'I wanted to turn [my garage] into something that would make us money instead of cost us money,' Vance said, referring to his personal vehicles and 'hobby toys' he enjoys working on. Despite not being officially open, Vance said the reception to the distillery from the Harman community has been great, and talked with other distillers in the area about advice and guidance on how to run his business and make the best shine possible. 'It's kind of like a family,' Vance said when asked about receiving help from other West Virginia distillers. 'Everybody's looking out for each other and like I said, no one's in it for competition, we're all here together so that really helps as well.' Boars Nest may be new but the distillery already has 15 varieties of moonshine ready for the public to get their hands on: All-Grain Straight moonshine Banana Pudding Black Cherry Corn Straight Coconut Cream Watermelon Peach Cobbler Lemon Meringue Grape Mountain Blueberry Apple Pie Mud Pie Blackberry Raspberry Drunken Peaches 'We have a lot of rave over the peach cobbler, the banana pudding, those ones there so far, our friends and stuff that we have let 'em try they really rave over them, so I believe they'll be great sellers,' Vance said. Vance also said he and his wife plan to make a few seasonal moonshines too like dill pickle, smores, pumpkin spice or peppermint. As mentioned above, Boars Nest will be holding its grand opening on Feb. 1 from noon to 8 p.m. and is located at 145 Mott St. in Harman, but remember to bring your ID if you go!
