Bangkit Sabahan 2.0 rally postponed due to technical and logistical issues

Zulkarnain KOTA KINABALU (July 25): The Bangkit Sabahan 2.0 rally, initially scheduled for tomorrow at Padang Merdeka, has been postponed to a later date due to technical and logistical reasons. Gerakan Kuasa Rakyat Malaysia (G57) chairman Datuk Zulkarnain Mahdar said the decision was made to allow more time for coordination with fellow activists, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and security agencies to ensure the smooth running and safety of the event. 'The new date for the rally will be announced in early August 2025,' he said in a statement yesterday. Zulkarnain added that the rally is intended as a show of unity and support from the people of Sabah for the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS)–Pakatan Harapan (PH) government. More than 100 associations and NGOs across Sabah have expressed their commitment to participate, with the organisers expecting a turnout of over 10,000 people.
