Emiway Bantai Gets Death Threat After Releasing Sidhu Moosewala Song: 'I Will Kill Him'
Last Updated: Threat message to Emiway Bantai has been sent just a couple of days after he paid a musical tribute to the late singer Sidhu Moosewala. Rapper Muhammad Bilal Shaikh, popularly known as Emiway Bantai, has received death threats from a person who identified himself as Goldy Brar, a Canada-based close associate of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, according to the police. A mobile number registered with Shaikh's company, Bantai Records, received the message on May 25. It also demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore from the rapper. 'I am gangster Goldy Brar. Your singer has 24 hours. I want ₹1 crore or else I will kill him," the message stated. The message also mentioned the name of US-based Rohit Godara, another close associate of the gangster, officers said. The rapper, who lives in Nerul in Navi Mumbai, filed a complaint at the NRI Coastal police station through an employee of Bantai Records who spotted the message. More details about the case are awaited. However, it should be noted that a threat message to Emiway Bantai has been sent just a couple of days after he paid a musical tribute to the late singer Sidhu Moosewala. Talking about Sidhu Moosewala, the singer was tragically murdered on May 29, 2022. He was shot dead by assailants in his car in Jawaharke village of Mansa district. Even though he was rushed to a hospital immediately, he succumbed to his injuries before receiving medical attention. Following his murder, his parents also lead a movement to seek justice for their son. A music video was also released prominently displaying a flag with the message 'Justice for Sidhu Moosewala". Last Updated: On May 25, Emiway Bantai received death threats from a person who identified himself as Goldy Brar, a Canada-based close associate of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. In a big development in rapper Emiway Bantai's death threat and extortion case, an 18-year-old boy has been arrested from Assam. According to reports, the boy has been identified as Arulv Rameshkumar Alohi. He was taken into custody from Assam after a joint operation by the Navi Mumbai Police based on digital tracking. The boy allegedly received instructions via social media to send a death threat and extortion demand to rapper Muhammad Bilal Shaikh, popularly known as Emiway Bantai, under the pretext of being linked to gangster Goldy Brar. Assam student arrested for sending death threat to rapper Emiway Bantai
NAVI MUMBAI: The police have arrested a 19-year-old BCom student from Assam for allegedly sending a death threat with a ransom demand of ₹1 crore to rapper Bilal Shaikh, better known by his stage name Emiway Bantai. The accused, identified as Arulv Rameshkumar Alohi, was arrested following a technical analysis of a threatening message he allegedly sent to the official mobile number of Bantai Records, a label owned by the rapper, on May 25. The police learnt that the message had been sent from the Sonitpur district of Assam, from where the accused was tracked and brought to Navi Mumbai for further questioning. 'While the arrest has been made, we are probing whether the accused acted independently or was following instructions from a larger network,' said an officer from the NRI Coastal police station. Alohi was produced before a court on Wednesday, which remanded him in police custody till Thursday, the officer added. In the threat message, the accused identified himself as Goldy Brar, a Canada-based close associate of incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The message also mentioned the name of US-based Rohit Godara, another close associate of the gangster, officers said. The timing of the threat coincided with a song released by Bantai on May 26 titled Tribute to Sidhu Moose Wala, almost exactly three years after the popular Punjabi musician was assassinated by unidentified assailants. The police had claimed that Bishnoi, who has been in jail since 2014, was the mastermind behind the killing, for which Brar had also claimed responsibility.

Ahead of the same, popular rapper Muhammad Bilal Shaikh, famous by the stage name Emiway Bantai, released a tribute song for the late singer. Following the same, reportedly, Emiway Bantai has received a death threat with a ransom demand of ₹1 crore. According to a Hindustan Times report, officials have said that the threat has come from Goldy Brar, a Canada-based infamous gangster, associated closely with the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang. These are the same names that are involved in the merciless killing of Sidhu Moose Wala . The report further states that the threat message also mentioned the name of US-based Rohit Godara, who is another close member of the said gang. Emiway Bantai received a death threat on his company's number The message was recieved on May 25, on the mobile number registered with Emmiway's company, Bantai Records. 'I am gangster Goldy Brar. Your singer has 24 hours. I want ₹1 crore or else I will kill him,' read the message. Following the threat, on early Tuesday, Emmiway, through an employee of his company, filed a complaint at the NRI Coastal police station. The said employee is the same person who spotted the message. The NRI Coastal police have filed a complaint against an unknown individual for extortion, following the relevant sections of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita. Officers are currently looking into the situation and working to determine the identity of the person who transmitted the message. Who is Emiway Bantai? For the unversed, Emiway Bantai is an influential figure, a prolific artist in Indian hip-hop, who began his career in 2013. In his more than a decade-long career, he gave many songs, but it was his viral track 'Machayenge' in 2019, which worked as his ticket to fame. He is also known for his Hindi rap and collaborations with international stars. On the personal front, Emiway Bantai got married in January this year to Punjabi model-actress Swaalina. The couple kept their relationship under the wraps before tying the knot and once they sealed it with the ring, they posted their endearing pictures of the social media. New Delhi: Rapper Muhammad Bilal Shaikh, known as 'Emiway Bantai,' has reportedly received death threats from a person claiming to be 'Goldy Brar.' The Canada-based gangster is said to be a close associate of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. According to a report by the Times of India, the threat came hours before the release of his tribute song to the late singer Sidhu Moosewala. The message, sent on May 25, demanded Rs 1 crore to a mobile number registered with Bantai's music label, Bantai Records. The report further claimed that Brar warned the rapper would be killed if he did not pay Rs 1 crore within 24 hours. The message also reportedly mentioned US-based gangster Rohit Godara, another close aide of the gang, who was allegedly involved in the murder of singer Sidhu Moosewala. A complaint has been filed by Emiway at Mumbai's NRI Police Station through his manager. As per police, the message read: 'I am gangster Goldy Brar. Your singer has 24 hours. I want Rs 1 crore or else I will kill him.' Police are actively investigating to trace the origin of the message and the number from which it was sent. His tribute song to Sidhu Moosewala has captivated audiences and garnered more than 3 million views.
