Weapons charges laid in fatal 2024 Langley shooting

But the accused isn't facing a charge of murder or manslaughter. Barinder Singh Dhaliwal, 41, of Langley, was arrested on June 3 'for his alleged involvement in the shooting,' the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said on Wednesday. He has now been charged with possession of a loaded firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm in a vehicle, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and possession of a firearm while prohibited.' 2:04 Couple assaulted in alleged road rage case at Tim Hortons drive thru The charges come nine months after Johnathan Hebrada-Walters, 38, of Edmonton, was gunned down near 196 Street and 84 Avenue in Langley. Hebrada-Walters was also a suspect in an unrelated case of road rage in Mission on Sept. 8, in which a couple reported being attacked by a man and woman armed with a baseball bat following a traffic incident.

Charges laid after man shot dead in Langley last year
Social Sharing Charges have been laid in connection with a shooting death in Langley, B.C., last September. When officers arrived at 196 Street and 84 Avenue, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. Johnathan Hebrada-Walters, 38, of Edmonton, died of his injuries at the scene. Another man, also suffering from gunshot wounds, was located at 208 Street and 78 Avenue and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Barinder Singh Dhaliwal,42, was arrested and charged on Wednesday with possession of a loaded firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm while prohibited. No one has yet been charged with Hebrada-Walters's homicide. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) say that the B.C. Prosecution Service laid the charges based on the evidence it provided. IHIT says that there are no additional suspects and that no additional information will be released as the matter is before the courts.
