The Batman 2 Could Include the Most Popular Bat-Family Member
A new report on The Batman Part II suggests that the script for the movie includes an iconic member of the Bat-Family. The Batman, helmed and co-written by Matt Reeves, came out in 2022 and was a massive success. Reeves and co-writer Mattson Tomlin had finished the script for the sequel in June 2025. Robin is reportedly part of Matt Reeves' Batman Part 2 script Jeff Sneider cited a 'well-placed source' in a recent post on his website to claim that Robin or the Boy Wonder is part of Reeves and Tomlin's script for the sequel. There have been considerable rumors on the subject since The Batman. Sneider speculated that this should draw the interest of talent agents when Warner Bros. begins casting for the role. Robin is an extremely important character in the Batman mythos and DC Comics as a whole. Several characters have donned the mantle of Robin. The first one, Dick Grayson, made his debut in Detective Comics #38 in 1940. If Robin is indeed part of the narrative, Sneider hasn't disclosed which version of the character can appear in The Batman Part II. The source also reportedly told Sneider that Reeves and Tomlin's script was 'worth the wait' and that it was a 'big swing' for the pair. The source apparently claimed that DC Studios was 'extremely pleased' with how things are progressing now that Reeves and Tomlin have submitted their screenplay. The report comes after Warner Bros. Discovery announced that the production for The Batman Part II will commence in spring 2026. An update shared by claimed that it will start at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in London, United Kingdom, on January 1, 2026. The cast reportedly includes Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Jeffrey Wright as James 'Jim' Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred, and Colin Farrell as Oswald 'Oz' Cobb / The Penguin. Batman Part II debuts in U.S. theaters on October 1, 2027. Solve the daily Crossword

'Matt's Slow': James Gunn Updates on The Batman Part II
It was 2022 when Matt Reeves' The Batman came out in theaters, and everyone is waiting for the sequel, but it's unfortunately getting constantly delayed. With some fans convinced that the DCU may have cancelled The Batman Part II , DCU co-head James Gunn has confirmed that the movie isn't scrapped, but they're just waiting on the script. In a recent talk with Rolling Stone, Gunn confirmed, ' We don't have a script. Matt's slow. Let him take his time. Let him do what he's doing. God, people are mean. Let him do his thing, man.' We don't know exactly what is taking Reeves so long with the script, but some are speculating that he's actually been approved for two more movies, and he's going to be shooting The Batman Part II and Part III back-to-back. With the Penguin series being so positively received, it wouldn't be surprising if DC decided to go all-in on this version of the Dark Knight and just have Reeves release two movies within a year of each other—like they did with the Wicked films and the last two Avengers movies. Besides the Reeves-verse, there is also the case of the DCU Batman who is going to be sharing a world with Gunn's Superman . So far, the only thing we know about him is that he's going to be coming with a Bat-family, but no actor has been attached, and the script is still being worked on by Gunn and a separate writer. The Batman: Part II is expected to come to cinemas on Oct. 1, 2027.
