DC Comics: Batman to relaunch with a new look
Exciting news for Batman fans! 2025 is shaping up to be a big year for DC's flagship comic. Whilst the comic's current writer has just ended his run with Batman #157, it isn't the end. DC Comics have revealed a new writer, new series AND a new look for Batman himself will launch in September.
Writer Matt Fraction will be taking over writing duties for Batman #1. The relaunch will have significant changes including a new costume for the character, a redesigned Batmobile, and a fresh Gotham City will trade in his black and grey suit for for a more vintage-inspired blue and grey costume.
Matt Fraction said he is looking forward to the relaunch. "I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Batman. It was the first comic I ever read," he got a new Batmobile, we've got a new costume, we've got new characters, and we've got a lot of old ones too—good and bad; all the stuff that makes Batman the coolest character in comics. We want to celebrate it all."As well as Batman getting a relaunch, DC have also shared more on the future of the Superman line of is also getting a new series and a new costume of her own, kicking off in May.
