Comedian Jimmy Carr's staggering earnings have been revealed after his successful year working on The Amazon Prime Video series Last One Laughing and his stand-up comedy tour
Jimmy Carr 's whopping earnings have been revealed after the comedian had signed on to a long list of TV deals and embarked on a huge tour, as The 8 Out Of 10 Cats presenter has raked in almost £5million.
The 52-year-old had hosted shows including Battle In The Box and Last One Laughing with his stand-up comedy tour continuing for the rest of the year and he is also set to take the show to Australia.
Due to his high success over recent years, Companies House have revealed that his firm, R & I Futures Ltd made £4.8million in the year to September 2024. The company was set up by Jimmy two years ago, and accounts have reportedly revealed that the company is earning close to £100,000 per week.
The Amazon Prime Video series Last One Laughing saw 10 comedians try to make each other laugh while trying to keep a straight face. The show, which featured Daisy May Cooper, Joe Lycett and Richard Ayoade, had gained huge praise from fans, with many fans labelling it 'the funniest show ever'.
The hilarious show was shown across six episodes, and fans were delighted to learn that another series of the show had been confirmed. Announcing the news, Jimmy told his followers: 'I'm absolutely delighted that Last One Laughing is coming back for a second series.
He added: 'I'm so pleased people had as much fun watching the first season as we had making it. Can't wait to bask in the reflected glory of the next 10 comedy legends taking on the challenge.'
Jimmy is also preparing to head to the land down under in February, where he will kick off his Jimmy Car: Laughs Funny Tour and will be performing a whopping 21 dates.
It follows after Jimmy was seen getting emotional after he received a heartfelt message from a fan at one of his shows. A fan thanked Jimmy during his gig for saving his life during a difficult time when he was battling depression and suicidal thoughts.
Jimmy read the tear-jerking message aloud, which read: 'In 2020 I tried to take my own life and didn't see a way out of my depression. Your shows on Netflix and clips on social media gave me something to laugh about when all I saw was darkness.
"I've been out of hospital for 2 years now and finally get to see you live with my wonderful partner, Hannah. Thanks for being the light in the dark Jimmy.'
Jimmy held back tears as he thanked the sender, as someone in the crowd shouted 'gay', which generated a laugh from both Jimmy and the crowd.
