Decisive moments today for Bayern Munich's Leroy Sané? A meeting is in progress amid interest from Napoli, Tottenham Hotspur

Things have been relatively silent between Bayern Munich and Leroy Sané for a couple of weeks now, but the situation could be heating up for the winger. Tottenham Hotspur has emerged as a candidate for Sané and, now, Napoli could be thrusting itself into the mix per La Gazzetta dello Sport reporter Gianluca Monti (vai @iMiaSanMia): Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis is using a potential signing of Leroy Sané as an argument to convince Antonio Conte to stay at the club. Negotiations between Napoli and Sané are underway and the 'story is hot.' Advertisement According to Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg, Sané's agent, Pini Zahavi is in meetings with the Bavarians today: EXCL | Pini #Zahavi, now in Munich and meeting with the Bayern bosses! Main topic: Leroy #Sané! Extend or leave? Today will be decisive. Zahavi will speak with Max Eberl and Co. while, at the same time, his other client Jonathan Tah undergoes his medical with Bayern. Bayern remain open to extending Sané's contract until 2028. It's possible that the current offer will be adjusted — more fixed, less variable. Sané has not yet made a decision. Everything remains open. Sky Sport journalist Kerry Hau caught footage of Zahavi in Munich: Meeting with FC Bayern – for crucial talks about Leroy Sané's future! As expected, Bayern Munich closes deal with new striker

On Tuesday, word broke that Bayern Munich was on the verge of signing Sandhausen striker Richard Meier and by Wednesday the deal was made official. 'When I received the request, I didn't have to think twice. I've been a Bayern fan since childhood; my first jersey was from Thomas Müller, and my bed linen was from Luca Toni . It was always my big dream to one day play for my favorite club. I can hardly wait to get started on Säbener Straße in the coming weeks,' Meier told 'I've been a Bayern fan since childhood. My first jersey was from Thomas Müller, and my bed linens were from Luca Toni. It was always my big dream to one day play for my favorite club. 'Maybe with Niclas Füllkrug: I like to control the ball, I'm strong in the air, a classic box player, you could say. I don't waste time in the box and I'm quick to score. I'm also very ambitious. I want to take responsibility and subordinate everything to the team's success,' said Meier. 'I want to help the team with my qualities, score many goals, and thus contribute to the best possible sporting success. But my initial goal is to settle into the team as quickly as possible and get to know everyone.' The move will be an adjustment, though, as Meier is not familiar with any of his new teammates. 'No, not yet. Of course, that's a bit challenging, since I don't have a traditional support person yet. But I'm a very open and communicative person, so I'm not worried about that. I'm sure the team and the coaching staff will make it very easy for me,' Meier remarked. Looking for some final thoughts on the Florian Wirtz saga? 'Everyone is important. That's always a cliché you say before the season when everyone is fit. But we've seen that we've got a few injured players, so it's really true that everyone is important. Everyone gets their minutes and everyone has to work hard and be professional so that they're there at the decisive moment,' Kimmich told Martin Volkmar of ranSport (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). 'Just like Stani [Josip Stanišić] did [against Augsburg]. He played in an unfamiliar left-back position, played a very, very good game and that's exactly what we need. We don't just need eleven players who can decide games, we need the whole squad right now. Especially because we have a lot of injuries. And we have to be able to rely on each other.' Advertisement Bild (via @iMiaSanMia) indicated that Kimmich and the rest of the squad should be bolstered with Leon Goretzka and Harry Kane both deemed ready for action. Goretzka tweaked his back vs. St. Pauli, while Kane said that he sprained his ankle vs. FC Augsburg: Harry Kane (ankle knock) and Leon Goretzka (back problems) trained with the team today and should both be ready to start against Inter on Tuesday. Kingsley Coman has yet to resume training and is a doubt for Tuesday. When asked what to expect against Inter Milan, Kimmich said that he was not so sure. 'Difficult to say. I haven't watched Inter that much this season. I think they traditionally defend very well; you can see that in the Champions League, where they've only conceded two goals. It will be tough. Augsburg hadn't conceded many goals in recent games, but we still scored three. St. Pauli also conceded very few goals; we scored three. We know we can score against any defense in the world,' said Kimmich. Looking for more thoughts on Bayern Munich vs. Thomas Müller?
