Gulf Coast Jam garners 100,000 people over four days; tickets already going fast for 2026

PANAMA CITY BEACH — Despite some weather delays and a mandatory evacuation from lightning, Rendy Lovelady says the 2025 Gulf Coast Jam was a success. As executive producer of the popular country music festival, Lovelady said the event garnered a combined 100,000 people over its four days. It was held May 29 to June 1 at Frank Brown Park in Panama City Beach. "We had close to 100,000 people in the park over the four days," he said. "The event) helps the community. ... It helps feed people. It fills the restaurants up. It fills the hotels up. It's just a great thing. "It also draws international attention to our little beach here." The 2025 Gulf Coat Jam featured performances from headliners Sam Hunt on Thursday, Lainey Wilson on Friday, Tyler Childers on Saturday and Blake Shelton on Sunday. Stormy weather conditions caused delays on Thursday, and an evacuation on Friday, but operations ran smoothly Saturday and Sunday. Lovelady credited the event's success in the wake of challenges to its volunteers and first responders, as well as contributing organizations, including the Bay County Sheriff's Office and Panama City Beach Police Department. He noted ticket combined attendance for 2025 was about 20,000 less than in 2023, which holds the record as the best year in the event's history. That said, he is confident 2026 will be another record-breaking year for the festival. On Thursday evening, officials announced the entire lineup for next year, sparking a surge of ticket sales unlike anything Gulf Coast Jam has ever experienced. "When we announced our new lineup, we sold almost four times faster in the four days of the festival than we've ever sold," Lovelady said. "This next one is going to be huge." The complete lineup for 2026 is: Thursday, May 28, 2026 − Gannon Fremin, Walker Montgomery, Cooper Alan, Wyatt Flores, Treaty Oak Revival and headliner Keith Urban. Friday, May 29, 2026 − Hueston, Cole Goodwin, Brent Cobb, Jackson Dean, Marcus King and headliner Chris Stapleton. Saturday, May 30, 2026 − Hannah McFarland, Ashland Craft, Josh Ross, Ole 60, Koe Wetzel and headliner Riley Green. Sunday, May 31, 2026 − Skeez, Them Dirty Roses, Elizabeth Nichols, 49 Winchester, Muscadine Bloodline and headliner Post Malone. Man sentenced to 45 years for Washington County murder

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Fla (WMBB) – A man entered a plea of No-Contest on the morning of his Tuesday trial. He was sentenced to 45 years in prison, State Attorney Larry Basford announced. According to a news release, Jeffrey Schuller, 53, was charged with second-degree murder of Dawn Langford. He accepted the plea agreement after a Washington County Jury was selected to hear the evidence from the 2023 crime. Washington County Circuit Judge Timothy Register accepted the plea, adjudicated the defendant guilty and sentenced him to 45 years in prison. Prosecutor Megan Ford was prepared to show the jury evidence of the body of a woman found fatally shot on a rural dirt road near Wausau on July 12, 2023, around 5:30 a.m. This body was later identified as the Bay County resident, Dawn Langford. In collaboration with the Bay County Sheriff's Office, FDLE and Florida Highway Patrol, the Washington County Sheriff's Office conducted a thorough investigation that led to the arrest of Jeffrey Schuller. Authorities utilized surveillance footage, forensic evidence and witness statements to link Schuller to the crime. A 9mm Taurus handgun with a rare type of ammunition identical to the casing found beside the victim was revealed through search warrants on Schuller's residence and vehicle. The handgun was found hidden in a closet. The defendant was further connected to the scene by DNA evidence and tire tracks. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Jamaican Citizen Arrested for Making a False Claim of Citizenship to Register to Vote in the 2024 Presidential Primary Election

PANAMA CITY, Fla. – Jacqueline Dianne Wallace, 52, a Jamaican citizen, has been arrested on a federal criminal complaint and charged with unlawfully making a false claim of citizenship in order to register to vote in the 2024 Florida presidential primary election. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Florida announced the charge after Wallace made her initial appearance in federal court in Tallahassee. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services provided valuable assistance to the investigation. According to the criminal complaint, Wallace entered the United States in December 2010 on a six month B-2 tourism visa and did not return to Jamaica as required. In January 2024, Wallace registered to vote in federal elections using an online system that required certification of United States citizenship, which she did not have. In August 2024, Wallace cast a ballot in the federal 2024 Florida presidential primary. Wallace was arrested by agents with Homeland Security Investigations and investigators of the Bay County Sheriff's Office. If convicted, she faces up to five years in prison and will be subject to removal from the United States. HSI Tampa and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Office of Executive Investigations, Election Crime Unit investigated the case. They were assisted by the Florida Department of State, Office of Election Crimes and Security; the Bay County Sheriff's Office; the Bay County Supervisor of Elections; and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Assistant United States Attorney Eric Welch is prosecuting the case. This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime. A criminal complaint is an allegation by a sworn affiant that a defendant has committed a violation of federal criminal law and is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent and entitled to due process, to include a fair trial, during which it is the government's burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt at trial.
