Coldplay concert turns awkward as mortified couple 'called out' by Chris Martin in kiss cam
Coldplay are on their the Music of the Spheres world tour at the moment and footage from a 'kiss cam' at a recent gig prompted reaction from singer Chris Martin Footage of two people at a Coldplay concert in the US has gone viral this week after they were featured on a 'kiss cam'. They seemed to be camera shy whilst on screen together and Chris Martin even poked fun at the pair's reaction. The video is said to have been filmed at the Gillette Stadium in Boston, with singer Chris, 48, and his bandmates having performed at the venue on Tuesday and then last night. The gigs are part of their ongoing Music of the Spheres world tour, which will be heading to the UK later this year. After showing other audience members at one of the gigs, the camera pans to two people on a balcony. Addressing the pair, who appeared to be swaying to the music whilst holding hands, Chris said: "Oh look at these two!" They soon reacted to being broadcast on a screen at the venue in the footage shared on social media today. One of them quickly covered their face before turning their back to the camera, whilst the other ducked down out of view. Chris said: "Alright. Come on, you're okay." He appeared to then tease over their reactions to being spotted: "Oh what? Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy." As the video ends, he begins to say: "I'm not quite sure." The audience were initially heard laughing as the pair hid from the camera after first being seen cuddled up together. Fans later appeared to be cheering and even whistling as Chris teased over the situation during the concert. The footage was shared through a TikTok account earlier today. It has since amassed more than 17 million views on the platform alone, whilst a post including the same video that has been circulating on X has 7.5 million views. Chris is touring with his bandmates Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion at the moment. Coldplay embarked on the world tour in 2022 and it's due to come to an end at Wembley Stadium in London in September. They are however next scheduled to perform at venues in Madison, Nashville and Miami as they conclude the final North American leg of the three-year tour. Coldplay will then head to Craven Park in Hull before their gigs in London. The band were supported by Elyanna and Ayra Starr at their gigs in Boston earlier this year. They are set to be joined by additional special guests including Tems and Beabadoobee for their summer concerts in the UK later this year.

Sabrina Carpenter joined by Duran Duran for Hungry Like The Wolf performance at BST Hyde Park
Sabrina Carpenter was joined by Duran Duran for a surprise performance of Hungry Like The Wolf at her second BST Hyde Park gig. The Espresso hitmaker was accompanied by the 1980s icons for a rendition of the 1982 hit at her second headlining show in London on Sunday (06.07.25). Introducing the band as she was joined on stage by frontman Simon Le Bon and bass guitarist John Taylor, Sabrina said: "I also thought it might be fun if I brought out some friends of mine from the UK. I'm going to need you guys to put that howling to good use. But everybody please give it up and make so much noise for the legendary Duran Duran." Sabrina was also joined by Clairo on both of her BST Hyde Park dates over the weekend, with Beabadoobee performing on Saturday (05.07.25) and Olivia Dean taking to the stage on Sunday. Meanwhile, the 26-year-old singer revealed last month that she was considering banning phones from her gigs after being inspired by a Silk Sonic gig in Las Vegas where fans were unable to access their devices. Asked if she would consider making a similar move to Adele and Madonna, Sabrina told Rolling Stone magazine: "This will honestly p*** off my fans, but absolutely. 'Because I went to see Silk Sonic in Vegas, and they locked my phone. I've never had a better experience at a concert. "I genuinely felt like I was back in the '70s — wasn't alive. Genuinely felt like I was there. Everyone's singing, dancing, looking at each other, and laughing. It really, really just felt so beautiful." The Manchild artist explained that phones being held up at shows is something that "feels super normal" to her generation, although she is wary of people zooming in on her facial features when she gets older. Sabrina said: "I've grown up in the age of people having iPhones at shows. It unfortunately feels super normal to me. "I can't blame people for wanting to have memories. But depending on how long I want to be touring, and what age I am, girl, take those phones away. "You cannot zoom in on my face. Right now, my skin is soft and supple. It's fine. Do not zoom in on me when I'm 80 years old up there.'

Gig review: Olivia Rodrigo's gutsy performance sends 40,000 Irish fans wild
Olivia Rodrigo sure knows how to animate a crowd, and her mesmerising show at Dublin's Marlay Park on Tuesday night was no exception. Rodrigo first gained recognition for her leading roles in the Disney series Bizaardvark and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series , before her career skyrocketed with the release of her 2021 single 'Drivers License'. The song climbed to No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and held the spot for eight weeks, making the American singer an international sensation. The same year, she released her debut record Sour via Geffen Records, which featured the No. 1 hit 'Good 4 U'. Now, 22-year-old Olivia Rodrigo is touring the world in support of her second album, Guts (2023), with 102 shows across North America, Europe, Asia, Australia and Brazil. Wicklow rockers Florence Road were up first, en par with the theme of girl power that carried throughout the night's performances. The all-girl quartet played original songs like 'Heavy' and 'Caterpillar', much to the delight of local fans in the audience. Lily Aron's soft melodic voice floated across Marlay Park, accompanied by the rhythmic ensemble of guitars, bass, and drums. The four-piece closed their set with 'Goodnight', and after a quick rearrangement of the stage, second support act Beabadoobee further hyped up the young crowd. The indie rock singer, also known as Beatrice Laus, performed her viral 2022 hit 'The Perfect Pair', along with 'California' a track from her latest album This Is How Tomorrow Moves . Combining elements of bedroom pop and space rock, Beabadoobee delivered a sound that was both ethereal and nostalgic. Beabadoobee. Copyright Abigail Ring. After two phenomenal female acts, the horde of girls waiting for the main event of the night were humming with giddiness. Self-made t-shirts with song lyrics scribbled all over (including minor grammatical errors), as well as cardboard signs reading 'We care!' and 'You will always be enough,' added to the wholesome atmosphere. Copyright Abigail Ring/ There was nothing that could have prepared me for the ear-splintering screams sounding through Marlay Park when the Guts singer finally appeared on stage. Adjusting my earplugs to no avail, I watched as the crowd roared along to 'Obsessed', hands and signs in the air, welcoming Rodrigo to Dublin. Olivia Rodrigo at Marlay Park on June 24th, 2025. Copyright Abigail Ring/ 'Oh shit, look at this beautiful crowd. Hey, guys!' Rodrigo, dressed in a black leather and lace ensemble, greeted her audience. Deafening, high-pitched screeching from all around. 'I see you all the way back there! I have a feeling tonight's going to be really fun. Are we ready to have a good time?' 'A good time' must have been the understatement of the century. Rodrigo's exceptional vocals were breathy, yet clear, when she delivered hit songs like 'Ballad Of A Homeschooled Girl', 'Vampire', and 'Traitor'. The vibrant tour concept was striking; digital collage art on the stage's backdrop, flashing lights, and unique camera angles that had Rodrigo crawling on a glass catwalk, performing for the camera below. Mellow piano notes blended with the singer's chest voice and falsetto, complimenting the ballad's poignant lyrics. Nearing the end of her set, the singer surprised the audience with an unexpected treat when she confessed her 'obsession' with Dublin band Fontaines D.C. 'The reason why I love Dublin so much is because you guys have really amazing music here. There are so many incredible bands out of Dublin. And lately I've been really obsessed with this band called Fontaines D.C. I'm playing this song, like, alone in my room for fun, and I was wondering if it would be cool if I, like, played it for you guys.' Olivia Rodrigo at Marlay Park on June 24th, 2025. Her nod to the Irish music scene resonated deep within the hearts of her fans, with clips of her rendition being shared all over social media in the following hours. With encore performances of 'Get Him Back' and 'Lacy', Rodrigo bid Marlay Park adieu, leaving thousands of hearts with a night to remember. I sure hope she enjoyed her well-deserved 'celebratory Guinness' backstage.
