Couple assaults staff in Florida airport after being late for their flight: deputies
Miami, Fla. (WFLA)– A couple was arrested after multiple altercations with staff at the Miami International Airport on Sunday, according to NBC affiliate WTVJ.
The couple was identified as Rafael Seirafe-Novaes and Beatriz Rapoport De Campos Maia. They were late for their flight that was going to Mexico.

Before they tried to force their way onto the plane, the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office said the couple threw coffee in an employee's face.
A video shows around six deputies on the tarmac next to American Flight 2494. The violent altercation happened minutes before take off.
Seirafe-Novaes was charged with resisting an officer. Maia was charged with two counts of battery and trespassing.
American Airlines made a statement where they said acts of violence are not tolerated on their airline.
