Nearly 15 years later, Aguilera shared a "reimagined take" on the iconic look in her new Instagram post, which showed her once again dressed in a green satin gown, this time showcasing her figure even more in the garment's fitted, corset-style shape. Like the original look, the new dress also had off-the-shoulder sleeves that draped across her arms, but Aguilera's latest version of the outfit also had thin halter straps rather than a strapless neckline. The "Genie in a Bottle" songstress also changed up her hair for the new photo, letting her wavy, bleach-blonde locks down for the pics. She also didn't appear to have the famous white flower in her hair like in the original movie scene. MAGA Voter Vows To Dump Trump In The Midterms
As of late, Donald Trump's MAGA base has NOT been happy with him. From his mishandling of the Epstein files to bombing Iran, Trump seems to be backtracking on many of his campaign promises, and his support, even from high-profile names, is slipping. A Reddit post by a MAGA voter has recently gone viral for breaking down five reasons why they are abandoning Trump and planning to vote blue in the 2026 midterms. At the start of the post, the MAGA voter explained their last-minute decision to vote for Trump on Election Day... They described feeling that Trump "got his ass beat" by Kamala Harris in the presidential debate, but did not like that the DNC was "open to big corporations and corporate donors." Their decision to vote for Trump also was inspired by Trump joining forces with RFK Jr., which they felt could improve nutrition policies. "Nutrition is a huge thing for me..." The MAGA voter also assumed that Trump could end the Ukraine/Russia war due to his close relationship with Vladimir Putin. "I felt Trump would calm down the Ukraine/Russia basically say 'stop this shit' and create a calmer world for us." But, according to the MAGA voter, everything went south with the Trump administration's handling of the Epstein files. "Guy thinks we're stupid. He campaigns on the Epstein files, realizes he's on there and now is telling us to stop worrying about it." The White House has called the Wall Street Journal's claim that Trump was notified by the Attorney General that his name was in the Epstein files a "fake news story." The MAGA voter also called out Trump's attempts to get rid of the Department of Education. "I know he brought this up during his campaign, but I thought he'd be sensible enough to work across the aisle with Democrats on this matter, but this is insane." They also called out Trump's "Big, Beautiful, Bill" that they described as "abhorrently terrible." As well as Trump's tariffs increasing costs for young people. "Wtf is this guy thinking other countries will pay more. We're the ones having to foot the cost." They took issue with Trump's immigration and deportation policies call them "messed up," because Trump has given ICE "free will to do whatever." And finally, the post ended with a promise to abandon Trump in the midterms. "I will absolutely be voting all blue come the midterms and will be voting for a sensible democrat next election." After reading the post, most people in the comments were not exactly applauding the MAGA voter for their switch-up. "'She didn't have any ideas that I considered fresh and new, so I figured I may as well vote for the guy who babbled utter nonsense instead,'" another user wrote sarcastically, referencing the voter's comments on the presidential debate. "This sounds like a lot of people in my family's rationale for voting Trump, who should have had enough common sense to think things through. They'll never admit they're wrong and vote democrat though. At least this person realized they were wrong, albeit way too late," this user wrote. What are your thoughts? Meet Inderjit Singh Sidhu, retired DIG who cleans Chandigarh streets every morning at 87
At 87, when most choose rest and retirement, Inderjit Singh Sidhu chooses public service, with a broom and a garbage bag in hand. A retired Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Punjab Police, Sidhu superannuated in 1996. Nearly three decades later, he's still serving, this time, by cleaning up his neighbourhood in Chandigarh's Sector 49. Every morning at 6 am, Sidhu sets out to collect litter from the streets, disturbed by the daily sight of garbage piling up in the area. Sidhu, who lives in the IAS-IPS Officers' Cooperative Society, said he repeatedly complained to civic authorities, but no action followed. 'So I decided to do it myself,' he told ANI. 'There is no shame in cleaning. Cleanliness is next to godliness.' Sidhu, a 1964-batch IPS officer, now uses a bag or even an abandoned rickshaw to gather waste and dispose of it properly. What began as a solo effort has slowly turned into a neighbourhood movement: one that his family and fellow residents now support. While some initially called him 'crazy,' his quiet determination has changed minds. Upset that Chandigarh doesn't always top the Swachh Survekshan rankings, it came second in 2024-25, Sidhu says the 'City Beautiful' should aim for the number one spot. 'If you visit foreign countries, their streets are spotless. Why can't ours be the same?' he said. Though he calls his contribution a small one, Sidhu says it brings him deep satisfaction. 'I like a clean place, so I clean. I'll keep doing it as long as I can.' Industrialist Anand Mahindra, in his recent tweet, also praised Sidhu's powerful act of service. Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra wrote on X (formerly Twitter), 'He says he wasn't happy with the 'low rank' Chandigarh got in the Swachh Survekshan listing,' Mahindra posted. 'But instead of complaining, he chooses action...a quiet, persistent belief in a better doesn't retire. Service doesn't age.' He further added: 'Apparently, every morning at 6 am, in the quiet streets of Chandigarh's Sector 49, this 88-year-old retired police officer begins his day in service. Each piece of trash he clears is more than just litter removed. It's a statement… a belief in living with meaning, regardless of age or recognition.'

'The passage of Trump's budget bill highlights persistent political tensions within the American right'
On Independence Day, July 4, 2025, President Donald Trump signed a massive new tax and spending bill into law. Officially called the One, Big, Beautiful, Bill (OBBB), the law was a major victory for his second administration, and signaled Trump's considerable consolidation of power. That said, the passage of the bill highlighted persistent political tensions within the American right. Major cleavages persist within the Trump coalition, as highlighted by the controversy surrounding the White House's refusal to release the Epstein files, reignited by the explosive recent story published in the conservative Wall Street Journal about Trump's unsavory connections to the late, disgraced mogul, who died in 2019. Understanding these rifts is essential to assessing the future of the MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement. Trump's hold on the Grand Old Party (GOP)'s elites is also more complicated than the passing of the OBBB would indicate. Since Trump's political rise in 2016, the world of American conservative elites has undergone a dramatic reconfiguration. His first victory led to a dramatic ideological shift in the upper echelons of the American conservative movement, and the rise of a new coalition of intellectuals known as the "New Right." Whereas the old conservative establishment stood for the "fusionist" trifecta of free-market economics, social traditionalism and anti-communism, and internationalism in foreign affairs, the New Right stands for nationalist economics, social traditionalism, isolationism and a crackdown on immigration. Obvious tensions Today, the old legacy of fusionism continues to influence American conservatism, fueling schisms in the GOP and within the New Right coalition. Many tech industry figures on the New Right, for example, were frustrated with Trump and JD Vance's new tariff regime. Elon Musk was a ferocious opponent of the OBBB, and at one point threatened to back alternative candidates in the Republican primaries against any member of the party who voted in favor of the bill.

Christina Aguilera on bringing Burlesque to the stage and her rise to fame
Christina Aguilera has told Sky News it is "magical" to see her hit film Burlesque being brought to London's West End - and also opened up about her rise to fame in the late 1990s. The US star topped the US and UK charts with Genie In A Bottle in 1999, before finding an even bigger audience with her acclaimed album Stripped and hits including Dirrty, Beautiful and Fighter in the early 2000s. In 2010, she starred in Burlesque alongside Cher, Julianne Hough and Stanley Tucci, and now, 15 years later, is a producer for the stage version of the show alongside the film's original director and writer, Steven Antin. Speaking ahead of the show's gala night, Aguilera told Sky News presenter she has enjoyed taking a backseat and seeing the fresh interpretation of her character - a small-town girl turned into a star. "It's just so beautiful to see the talent that's on this stage and to absorb it and appreciate the fresh takes on things," she said. "I love actually taking a step back and a backseat… it's beautiful to see the reinvention. "When you're in it, you focus on the choreography, all these different elements, that being able to take a backseat and being more of a visionary of the bigger picture, it's really a special thing." Aguilera said she had been "blown away" by Jess Folley, who plays her character Ali in the show, and has fully embraced the "powerhouse vocals" as well as the vulnerability needed for the role. "She just is doing such a magnificent, magnificent job and likewise inspires me as well," she said. Aguilera said she would love to see her film co-star Cher popping by to see the show in London. "She's always welcome to grace us with her incredible, iconic presence. And I'm just so grateful that I had the time to be with her. I mean, looking back, it's just - did that even happen?" Aguilera arrived on the scene at the same time as Britney Spears, at a time when young female pop stars were celebrated, sexualised and scrutinised. After the success of her debut album, she took a different direction with Stripped - embracing her sexuality and famously taking on a less girlish image with chaps, a nose stud and black streaks in her hair for the Dirrty video, and opening up about her life and emotions through songs such as Fighter and Beautiful. She also took on the patriarchy in Can't Hold Us Down, a duet with Lil' Kim, and performed on the hit cover of Lady Marmalade alongside Lil' Kim, Maya and Pink for Moulin Rouge! "I always want to stay true to authenticity," she said. "And for me, with that first album it was wonderful to get my foot in the door... "It's important to me that I stepped out on my own and reflected all sides of me as a woman, embracing my sexuality and sensuality, and my body... Dirrty, I just loved those chaps and everything about that was just so fun and raw." Read more: So would she do it all again, then? Or would she prefer to be an artist starting out now? "The '90s, it was a pretty special time in music. And it was a time when you could still like go to Virgin records or like wherever and look at the CDs, look at the packaging. "You have an opportunity now to really present yourself in ways that it's not just about the music, to become more the narrator in real time… this is what it is like, be your own voice rather than reading about yourself in an article."
