Bebe And Cece Winans To Host 40th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards

The Stellar Gospel Music Awards revealed big plans for its 40th annual celebration. Enlisted to host the ceremony together for the first time is gospel duo Bebe and Cece Winans. The awards ceremony will be taped live from the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, TN, on August 16, 2025. With set performances, tributes, and special honors, the event promises to be an unforgettable evening of inspiration and celebration. 'For 40 remarkable years, the Stellar Awards have been a beacon of excellence, celebrating the voices, vision, and victories of gospel music,' shared Don Jackson, Founder of the Stellar Awards and Chairman of Central City Productions, Inc. 'We honor not just the genre of gospel music, but the legacy of our history, our faith, our culture, and our community that has inspired Black and African American generations for four decades with our Stellar Gospel Music Awards.' Performers include Jamal Roberts, Jonathan McReynolds, Todd Dulaney, New Direction Gospel Choir of Tennessee State University, Donnie McClurkin, Dottie Peoples, Jekalyn Carr, Jason Nelson, Lisa Page Brooks, MAJOR., Melvin Crispell III, Pastor Mike Jr., Pastor Mike Todd & Transformation Worship, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, and more. Presenting awards are Lil Rel Howery, Dominique Perry, Dante Bowe, Isaac Carree, and Trina Braxton. Additionally, Central City Productions founder Don Jackson will receive the James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement Award. This year also brings the STELLAR PLUS experience with two days of immersive events ahead of the ceremony. Special guests slated for the fan-forward events — including Master Classes, fashion shows, comedy showcases, and more — are Adam Blackstone, Avery Sunshine, Joyce Sheffield, Rochelle Johnson, Rhyeem Johnson, and more. Nineteen-time Stellar Award winner Pastor Mike Jr. and Stellar Award winner Jason Nelson lead the field of nominees this year with nine nominations each, with both landing top nominations in the key categories Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, and Album of the Year. Cece Winans follows close behind with eight nominations. Additionally, Other artists earning multiple Stellar nominations include: Mississippi Mass Choir, Adia, Deitrick Haddon, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Karen Clark-Sheard, Kenny Lewis & One Voice, Micah Lee, Tamela Mann, Chandler Moore, and FK&M (Fred Hammond, Keith Staten, and Marcus Cole). The 40th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards will premiere on the Stellar Network on Saturday, August 30th at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. ET; on BET Sunday, August 31st at 8 p.m. ET, and on Bounce TV September 28th at 1 p.m. ET.
