Former Leitrim pub and nightclub to be demolished to make room for 14 houses
Planning permission has been granted for the demolition of the existing bar/nightclub known as Beirne's pub and Nova nightclub at Hill Street, Mohill, Co. Leitrim.
The premises is to be demolished ahead of the construction of 14 dwellings consisting of five three bed two storey terraced houses, six three bed two storey semi detached dwellings, one four bed two storey dwelling and two three bed semidetached dormer dwelling.
The application also detailed a new service road and connection to the existing services and associated site works at Hill street, Mohill.
The application was submitted to Leitrim County Council by Kevin Gordon and was approved subject to 24 conditions.
The conditions include prior to the commencement of any development on site the applicant/developer shall obtain a Connection Agreement from Uisce Éireann for the provision of both wastewater and water services necessary to enable the proposed development.
The development shall not impair existing land or road drainage. All surface water generated by the proposed development shall be connected into the existing drainage network and not permitted to flow onto the public road or access road serving the development.
No spoil, dirt, debris, or other materials shall be deposited in the public road, footpath or verge in the vicinity of the site, by operative or vehicles travelling to or from the development site during the construction phase.
Site development and building works shall be carried out only between the hours of 8am to 7pm on Mondays to Fridays, inclusive, between 8am to 2pm on Saturdays and not at all on Sundays or public holidays.
Deviation from these times shall only be allowed in exceptional circumstances where prior written approval has been received from the planning authority.
Prior to the completion of development works, a name and addressing scheme for the development shall be determined and submitted for approval to the Planning Authority.
The name shall relate to local historical interest, shall be presented in both Irish and English, and shall be displayed on a structure to be placed at the entrance to the development.
The design and materials of a name plaque shall be agreed by the Planning Authority, prior to its erection.
