‘Project X' is Screening Across Seven Governorates With EGP 40 Tickets
Karim Abdel Aziz's new film will show across Egypt as part of the Ministry of Culture's 'Cinema for the People' initiative. May 24, 2025 The Ministry of Culture's General Authority for Cultural Palaces is bringing the blockbuster film 'Project X', starring Karim Abdel Aziz, to audiences across seven governorates as part of the national 'Cinema for the People' programme. Directed by Peter Mimi ('Moussa', 'Beit El Ruby'), 'Project X' follows an Egyptian archaeologist who uncovers a mysterious map linked to an ancient secret buried beneath the sands of Egypt. As he sets off on a globe-trotting expedition across Egypt, Turkey, Spain, and Italy, he finds himself caught in a web of rival treasure hunters, cryptic codes, and buried truths that could reshape the historical narrative. The cast includes Yasmin Sabri, Eyad Nassar, Ahmed Ghozzi, and Mariam Elgendy, with guest appearances by Maged El Kedwany, Essam El Sakka, and Hana El Zahed. Screenings will take place daily from 10 AM until midnight at the following locations: Cinema Palace in Garden City (Cairo), Qanater Cultural Palace (Qalyubia), Abu El Matamir and Damanhour Cultural Palaces (Beheira), Zagazig Cultural Palace (Sharqia), Ismailia Cultural Palace, Arish Cultural Palace (North Sinai), and Sadat Cinema (Menoufia). Tickets will be priced at a standard rate of EGP 40, including weekends and public holidays.

The pic features an ensemble cast that includes Eyad Nassar, Mariam El Gendy, Essam El Sakka, Ahmed Ghozzi, and more. Hannah El Zahed and Maged El Kedwany will also make an appearance in the project. Peter Mimi directed the film from a script he co-wrote with Ahmed Hosny. Synergy Plus is the studio behind the pic. "Al Mashrue X" follows Egyptologist Youssef El Gammal and his team embarking on a deadly journey across the globe to prove a strange theory!! What is the secret behind the construction of the Great Pyramid? Was it a tomb?. The film marks the third collaboration between Abdel Aziz and Mimi after the blockbuster film "Beit El Ruby" as well as the hit TV series 'El Ekhteyar S1 & S2" and "Al-Hashashin". "Al Mashrue X" also witnesses the first collaboration between Sabri and Mimi. The pic is one of the high-budget projects this year, with the shooting taking place in several countries, including Egypt, Turkey, Spain, and Italy. "Al Mashrue X" hits theatres and Imax on May 21. Here's Our First Look at "Al Mashrue X"
Yara Sameh The first look at Egyptian stars Karim Abdel Aziz and Yasmine Sabri's upcoming film "Al Mashrue X" has finally been unveiled. The pic features an ensemble cast that includes Eyad Nassar, Mariam El Gendy, Essam El Sakka, Ahmed Ghozzi, and more. Hannah El Zahed and Maged El Kedwany will also make an appearance in the pic. Specific details on the upcoming project remain under wraps, but the pic hails from acclaimed director Peter Mimi. In the clip, the protagonist (Abdel Aziz) was expelled from the Faculty of Archaeology at Cairo University and is now engaged in a highly dangerous mission. It also features Abdel Aziz's character in confrontations that take him to more than one country and location, from the desert and the pyramids to foreign countries and the depths of the sea.
