Belqasem Haftar signs contracts with Turkey to upgrade air navigation systems at 8 Libyan airports
Belqasem Khalifa Haftar, Director General of the Libyan Development and Reconstruction Fund, has signed contracts with the Turkish company ALBAVVABA Hizmetleri Limited Sirketi to install and upgrade air navigation and communication systems, both aerial and ground-based, at eight airports across Libya.
The airports included in the agreements are Benghazi, Sabha, Sirte, Ubari, Al Abraq, Martouba, and Tobruk.
The move is described by the Fund as a significant step toward modernizing Libya's aviation infrastructure.
In a statement published on Sunday on its official Facebook page, the Fund labeled the contracts as 'strategic,' aligning with its broader plans to revitalize the civil aviation sector and upgrade navigation and communication systems at key airports in the country.
