Melissa McCarthy shares rare photo of look-alike daughter to mark important milestone

shared a rare photo of her teenage daughter Vivian Falcone on Friday. Kicking off the weekend, the actress, 54, took to her Instagram Story to share a photo of her 18-year-old daughter dressed to the nines to celebrate her prom. In the rare snapshot, Vivian modeled an ethereal corseted gown and ruffled skirt with a blue and white lace and floral details. 'Thank you to @sherrihill @realkarahall @dandridesigns for making Viv's prom dreams come true,' McCarthy gushed in her caption. In the photo, Vivian looked like a princess as she posed in the stunning designer gown, accessorizing with a gold pendant necklace and her soft, auburn waves. The Bridesmaids star shares her teenage daughter Vivian with husband Ben Falcone. In addition to their eldest, the longtime couple are also parents to daughter Georgette, 15. The sweet prom moment comes shortly after McCarthy helped her daughter celebrate her 18th birthday on May 5. Earlier this month, the two-time Oscar nominee shared a throwback photo of her eldest daughter when she was a young toddler. In the adorable snapshot, a young Vivian was wearing a colorful tunic and an adult's paper boy cap as she sang and danced on a couch. In a gushing caption, McCarthy wished her daughter a happy birthday — after celebrating her 19th wedding anniversary to Vivian's dad. 'Eighteen years ago, this wonderful creature came into my life and taught me what true kindness and empathy and the importance of being really weird means,' she penned. 'I'm so lucky to be your mama. You make the world better!!! Xoxooxoooxoxo.' In addition to their eldest, the longtime couple are also parents to daughter Georgette, 15; pictured May 2023 in Hollywood McCarthy prefers to keep her family life relatively private, but their daughter Georgette did make a rare appearance with her parents in May 2023. McCarthy was joined by her family at the premiere of the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, in which she played the villain Ursula. And though her kids make rare appearances, McCarthy does occasionally share rare stories about raising her two daughters. In 2019, she gushed about her then-preteen kids, calling them 'really smart and funny, weird,' in an interview with Us Weekly. 'I think they're better [than me]. They're further along in their young lives than I was,' she said at the time. 'I feel like I had to push almost 30 to get their kind of confidence, so I love seeing that.' McCarthy also said that motherhood came with 'more joys than challenges' for her. 'The challenges are just, "Am I doing enough?" and being surprised and amazed by my girls.'

Ben Falcone loves being a girl dad. The Life of the Party actor, 51, opened up on The View about being a father to 15-year-old daughters Georgette and 17-year-old Vivian, whom he shares with wife and fellow actress Melissa McCarthy. Falcone shared with the hosts that he loves being a dad to teenage daughters, and that it's "really nice" raising "amazing young people." "I tell people I have teenage girls, and they go, 'Ah man. How's it in your house.' and I'm like, 'It's great,' " Falcone said. "They're really nice. They're amazing young people. Three years later, the duo welcomed daughter Georgette, completing their family of four. McCarthy opened up to PEOPLE about her family life at home in February 2020. 'It's not the most serious household,' she said. 'There's a lot of serious stuff happening in the world, and we don't have to have it in the house.' She noted that people are always 'yelling' and 'coming in and out' of their house. 'Our youngest is constantly on some kind of wheeled thing ripping through the house, and I just kind of love it,' she added of Georgette. Now that the girls are teenagers, McCarthy couldn't be prouder of the young women they've become. "Watching them navigate a world that's so much more complicated and so much harder. And to do it with such grace and love and care and such empathy for other people," she said during her April 2023 cover story for PEOPLE. "Boy, you don't want to mess with those two if you're doing wrong to good people, they stand up for themselves. And I learn from that every single day." The Little Mermaid actress also discussed the prospect of her daughters eventually leaving the nest, but admitted that she doesn't even allow herself to think about it. "Nope, because it's never going to happen," she said jokingly. "One of my daughters was talking about maybe going to school in Scotland. And literally Ben's like, 'Your lip's twitching.'"
