Tottenham Hotspur Keeping A Keen Eye On This Bundesliga Midfielder: Should Frank Go For Him?

In a recent segment on Youtube with Last Word on Spurs, journalist Ben Jacobs revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are keeping a keen eye on Mainz midfielder Kaishu Sano this summer. Jacobs said, 'Kaishu Sano, who is at the Bundesliga side Mainz, is another player that Tottenham really like. He's an extremely combative number six who is capable of moving between the lines, winning aerial duels, but a bit like Moises Caicedo, is a very progressive passer, who you sort of see a lot of underrated attacking qualities about. 'He's not just your standard engine room and ball winner. He's also very good at, after he's won it, getting his head up and working out where there's an incisive pass to be played. And that's why he is so effective playing in a counterattacking side. That's also maybe another name to watch.' Sano's Impressive Form In German Football Sano had a solid campaign at the German club after he put in a string of eye-catching displays for them at the centre of the park. The 24-year-old made 36 appearances for Mainz last season but failed to score or create a goal for them across multiple competitions. The Japanese talent made 61 tackles, 66 blocks and 65 interceptions in the Bundesliga. He has even been tidy when distributing possession from midfield after making 80.1% of his attempted passes in the top tier of German football (stats via Should Tottenham Hotspur Boss Thomas Frank Go For Sano? Sano is a tough-tackling midfielder who can scan the danger well to secure the ball back for his team at the centre of the park. He usually puts his foot through the ball when required and is an accurate passer of the ball as well. The Japan international is full of energy and running but needs to find a way to add more goals and assists to his game. Furthermore, there are some concerns over whether he would be able to adapt to the physicality and high intensity of the Premier League. Sano would add more bite and steel to Tottenham boss Thomas Frank's midfield. He has what it takes to challenge for regular first-team football at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next season. At 24, Sano's best years are ahead of him which makes him a good choice for Spurs to consider this summer. With all things considered, Frank should focus on going for a midfielder of his skill set this off-season.

Saudi Arabia plot world-record €350 million bid for Real Madrid megastar

Saudi Arabia representatives are considering a record-breaking offer for Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr., according to a report from Ben Jacobs on talkSPORT. The Middle-Eastern nation have been on the trails of the Real Madrid megastar for some time now, but things had gone quiet in recent months amid talks of a possible renewal. Saudi Arabia ready to strike Indeed, as per the report, back in April, Saudi Pro League insiders believed a contract extension for Vinicius at Real Madrid was likely before the summer. While the Brazilian winger has made it clear he wants to remain at the Bernabeu and has been negotiating a new deal, no agreement has been finalised yet. This has left room for renewed Saudi interest. Both Real Madrid and Vinicius are relaxed about the situation, especially with the 25-year-old superstar under contract until 2027. However, Saudi Arabia are prepared to make their move. Saudi interest in Vinicius goes back over a year, with high-level discussions continuing in the background. The approach has been measured, with the long-term goal of bringing the 25-year-old to the Pro League within the next three years. Though there is no indication that a new Real Madrid contract will not be signed, Saudi officials are ready to make an offer of around €350 million – a world-record figure that would eclipse the €222 million PSG paid for Neymar in 2017. Saudi Arabia back in for Vinicius. (Photo by) Vinicius has also received a contract proposal worth around €1 billion over five years, including bonuses. Door remains open Despite repeatedly saying he wants to stay at Real Madrid, the report states that Vinicius has not completely closed the door on a future move to Saudi Arabia. Whether that happens this summer remains uncertain. While Saudi insiders are not overly confident, the ambition is strong. The report further adds that Vinicius has been targeted specifically for Al-Ahli. The reigning Asian Champions League winners are seen by both the Saudi Ministry of Sport and the Public Investment Fund (PIF) as next in line for a superstar signing. Though Riyad Mahrez and Ivan Toney are admired, they ae not viewed in the same bracket as Cristiano Ronaldo (Al-Nassr), Karim Benzema (Al-Ittihad), or Neymar (Al-Hilal before his return to Santos) The longer Vinicius' contract negotiations drag on, the more motivated Saudi clubs become. A major offer this summer is still possible. Even if he extends with Real Madrid, the Middle East nationare committed to landing him before the 2027/28 season, believing they can sign him while he is still at his peak.

Man Utd ‘in transfer talks to sign goalkeeper Senne Lammens, 23, from Belgian side as Andre Onana replacement'

MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly in talks to sign young Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens from Antwerp. Manager Ruben Amorim has been eyeing a replacement for Andre Onana even before the Cameroonian stopper suffered an hamstring injury in pre-season. 2 2 Onana has been ruled out of the tour of the USA and potentially the opening stages of the 2025/26 Premier League season - which begins against Arsenal on August 17. And the Red Devils are allegedly in talks with Antwerp about a £17million deal for Lammens, according to journalist Ben Jacobs. United were first linked with Lammens, 23, in January, with scouts reportedly sent to watch him play. Widely considered as one of the best up-and-coming goalkeepers in Europe, Lammens was brilliant as Antwerp's No.1 last term. Lammens ended the season with an eye-catching 173 saves, which works out to 4.3 saves per match and a solid 78 per cent save rate. He made 41 appearances and kept 10 clean sheets in that period and is contracted until 2027. Antwerp have already signed another goalkeeper, Taishi Brandon Nozawa, strongly suggesting that they are preparing for life without Lammens. He even once scored for Club Brugge against Real Madrid in a Uefa Youth League group stage match in the 2019/20 season. A header from a corner, it sealed a 2-2 draw and sent his side into the knockout round play-offs. Man Utd fans fume over ill-timed video and rage 'get a grip' Amorim needs to overhaul his goalkeeping department amidst uncertainty over the futures of Onana and equally sloppy No.2 Altay Bayindir. After the chaos of last season, things were meant to be better from the off for Amorim, but United seemingly struggled to reset their squad in the summer window. But the 40-year-old gaffer's fortunes are set to change after the club finally agreed a £65million deal with Brentford for winger Bryan Mbeumo. Mbeumo, and potentially Lammens, will link up with fellow new signings Matheus Cunha and full-back Diego Leon. United take on local rivals Leeds at the Friends Arena in Sweden on Saturday at 2pm.

Ben Jacobs name Chelsea's 'dream target,' shares how likely a move could be

Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers is a 'dream' target for Chelsea this summer according to journalist Ben Jacobs. The Blues have already been busy in the window, and have made three attacking signings in Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro. More new faces are expected to follow, and Chelsea haven't ruled out another attacker arriving, whilst they are also said to be in the market for a left sided defender. Morgan Rogers a 'dream' target It's been reported Chelsea want as many as eight or nine attacking options to rotate between next season, meaning there is room for another attacker. Noni Madueke has left for Arsenal, whilst Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix are expected to depart, with their also questions surrounding Nicolas Jackson's future. Chelsea have been linked with the likes of Mohammed Kudus and Hugo Ekitike, but the Ghana international joined Tottenham, whilst the Frenchman is closing in on a move to Liverpool. Rogers is high on Chelsea's list of transfer targets. (Photo by) Villa star Rogers is another name of interest, although a move for the England international is viewed as difficult given price and his importance to the Midlands club. It's been reported if Villa move for Jackson then Chelsea would respond with an offer for Rogers, and Jacobs has now provided an update. 'Morgan Rogers is a dream target for Chelsea but I am not aware of a way of Chelsea signing him at the moment, even perhaps with Nicolas Jackson being a target for Aston Villa,' he told Chelsea content creator Alex Goldberg as cited on More Stories / Latest News Ben Jacobs name Chelsea's 'dream target,' shares how likely a move could be 18th Jul 2025, 06:45am '£40m could be possible' – Ben Jacobs delivers latest news on Chelsea's attempts to sign defender 18th Jul 2025, 06:30am 'Pivot back' – Journalist says Chelsea could still make move to sign Benjamin Sesko 18th Jul 2025, 06:02am 'Villa have an 'untouchable' tag over Rogers.' Rogers scored 14 goals and registered 15 assists in 54 appearances last season, and would add another brilliant option to Chelsea's exciting attack. Christopher Nkunku could end up staying Chelsea have a number of attackers they could move on in order to create space for Rogers in the squad, although it's possible one could end up staying. Felix is almost certain to leave, whilst the expectation is Nkunku also follows him out of the Stamford Bridge exit door. However, given how he performed at the Club World Cup it's been reported the Frenchman could potentially end up staying, and the Blues aren't in a rush to force him out, although if he had to leave to make room for Rogers, it's likely to be a decision not many would disagree with.
