The home was also covered in graffiti. Neighbor Ben Scott-Sandvik, who lives in an apartment in the block, shared his shock over finding the couple's bodies. 'I mean, no one should have to come across what I saw down there,' he told the Herald Sun, per 'And nobody needs to live knowing that this sort of thing has happened to their families," he added. Dimmi, who knew Georgopoulos and her mother, also expressed her sadness. 'I came back and said to my husband, some murder happened here,' Dimmi told after finding out about the murder on Facebook. 'On Monday when it happened, I went to bed around 12 o'clock and didn't hear anything.' She added, 'I didn't even know she lives there. I'm Greek too, so I was so close to her mother, but didn't see her for about 10 months.' 'I've been here for 25 years, I walk along this street all the time but never saw her,' Dimmi continued. 'I'm going to ring her mum, I'm in shock now.' The neighbor said that she knew Georgopoulos when she was a child, adding that she 'used to come to my house all the time.' 'She was a lovely girl. A very nice girl. I'm so, so sad,' Dimmi concluded. Athena's mother Petty Georgopoulos paid tribute to her late daughter on social media, according to the Australian Broadcasting Network (ABC). Authorities arrested a suspect at a train station around four miles from the crime scene just hours after the bodies were found, according to According to The Age and 9News, the suspect had blood on his shirt at the time of his arrest. The suspect, identified as 34-year-old Ross Judd, who is unhoused, was charged with two counts of murder, per Police told members of the media gathered outside the home on Monday night that the murder suspect appeared to have been known to the couple — though authorities have not described the nature of their relationship, per The Age. 'Homicide Squad detectives were called to an address in Adrienne Crescent where a 39-year-old Mount Waverley woman and a 50-year-old Mount Waverley man were located deceased about 9.55pm on Monday evening,' Victoria Police said in a statement on Facebook on Tuesday. 'A 34-year-old man was arrested at Westall train station about 1.40am yesterday morning.' 'He has since been charged and will appear before Melbourne Magistrates' Court today," the statement added.
