Each charger will have a capacity of 240 kW and will enhance the e-transport operational efficiency at the airport, Servotech Renewable Power System said in a statement. Servotech Renewable Power System has received an order to install 10 ultra-fast direct current electric vehicle (DC EV) chargers of 240 kW each at Kempegowda International Airport for airside EV operations, it said. 'This positions the installation as first and biggest of its kind EV charging hub for airside EV operations in an Indian airport enabling fast turnaround times and significantly enhance the airport's e-transport operational efficiency,' it said. As part of the initiative the charging station will be strategically located within the airport premises to charge electric buses used for passenger transport between terminals and aircraft, and facilitate 24/7 airside EV operations further contributing to the reduction of the airport's transport carbon emissions. As part of this project, Servotech Renewable will oversee the supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and five-year maintenance of the EV charging station. (With PTI inputs)

Servotech Renewable Power System's share price has been buzzing on the Indian stock market following a series of order wins and stellar performance in the March quarter. The stock has ended the last month with a rally of 19%, marking the biggest monthly gain in the last 9 months. Though the stock has attracted the bulls in recent weeks, it is still trading 28% lower than its recent high of ₹ 205.40 apiece. Looking at the long-term performance, the stock has delivered multibagger returns in each of the last 5 years, with CY23 standing out year as it delivered a return of 382%, followed by another 117% gain in the next year, positioning it among the one of the biggest wealth creators Indian stock market. Servotech renewable to install EV charging hub at Bengaluru airport
Servotech Renewable Power System Limited has secured an order from Bengaluru International Airport Limited (BIAL) to install an electric vehicle (EV) charging station at Kempegowda International Airport . The facility will consist of 10 direct current (DC) chargers, each with a capacity of 240 kW, supporting airside EV operations . The total installed capacity of the charging hub will be 2.4 MW. According to the company, this will be the first and largest EV charging installation of its kind at an Indian airport for airside operations. The station is intended to serve electric buses operating between terminals and aircraft, enabling continuous airside transport operations while supporting emission reduction goals. Under the project, Servotech will be responsible for the supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of the charging station for a five-year period. The chargers are expected to contribute to reducing transport-related emissions at the airport and support broader sustainability targets. The accused has been identified as Dr. Vyas Hiral Mohanbhai, 36, of Bengaluru's Yelahanka locality. The incident occurred at approximately 2:45 PM on an Air India flight to Surat, Gujarat, reports The Indian Express. Authorities said Dr. Mohanbhai allegedly insisted the cabin crew move her hand baggage, which she had left in the front row, to the seat she was allocated at 20F. When questioned on the inappropriately placed bag, she reportedly got ruffled. The tension mounted when she allegedly threatened to "crash the plane," and the cabin crew informed the pilot. Even after the pilot intervened, Dr. Mohanbhai allegedly refused to calm down and was subsequently taken out of the aircraft prior to takeoff, according to the police report. The Bengaluru International Airport Limited (BIAL) police have registered a case against Dr. Mohanbhai. She is charged under sections 351 (4) (criminal intimidation by anonymous communication) and 353(1)(b) (public mischief statements) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and section 3(1)(a) (act of violence on or against any person on board an aircraft in flight likely to endanger the safety of such aircraft) of the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against Safety of Civil Aviation Act. Air India Makes Operational Reforms After Recent Crash Air India is adopting major operational reforms, such as the cancellation and diversion of flights, following the devastating crash of flight AI171. The ill-fated flight en route to London crashed after a brief flight from Ahmedabad airport when 241 passengers on board and about 30 people on the ground lost their lives. As a measure to offset the effects of recent happenings, the company stated it will cut frequencies on 16 international routes. These routes cover North America, Europe, Australia, and the Far East. The company will also temporarily suspend three routes from June 21 to July 15.
