The Agenda: A new fire station, trail art and artificial turf
Here are a few highlights from tonight's city council meetings. Bentonville will discuss: A resolution authorizing the city to enter an agreement with Byrne & Jones Sports Construction for $1.12 million to replace the artificial turf at the Memorial Park Baseball and Softball Complex. A resolution to approve the installation of artwork titled "Urban Studies Library Mural" by Thaden School Urban Studies students on the downtown trail section between SW Main and SW A Street, across from the Bentonville Public Library. Springdale will consider: A resolution to pay Flock Safety $532,800 for a 3-year agreement to use hardware and software for the Springdale Police Department. The contract is to be paid in annual installments of $177,600. Rogers will discuss: Amending the city budget to appropriate $16.75 million from the general funds reserve for various capital improvement projects, including construction of Fire Station No. 4 for $12.4 million.
