With Eagles' training camp now just days away, we're ranking Philadelphia's six uniform combinations. In 2023, the Eagles unveiled the long-awaited Kelly Green throwback alternate uniforms, which are now worn at least twice a season. Philadelphia released an All-Black helmet in 2022 to help appease fans. Still, thanks to a ruling on the all-black alternate uniforms, the Kelly Green and five other looks will become a fixture in the uniform combinations at Lincoln Financial Field. The NFL updated its uniform policy to allow teams to wear throwback or alternate uniforms up to four times per season. The Eagles have been in business since 1933, when original team owner Bert Bell and the original head coach, Lud Wray, purchased the former Frankford Yellow Jackets, an American football team that was part of the NFL. With training camp now just days away, we're ranking Philadelphia's six uniform combinations. 1. Kelly Green Before 2023, the 2010 season was the last time Philadelphia wore Kelly Green jerseys (and helmets). Shortly after, the NFL implemented a rule that teams could only have one color as a safety precaution. That rule has been amended several times since then, and the Eagles and 31 other teams are allowed four alternate helmets. The Kelly Green look may never replace Midnight Green officially for home games, but it's clearly the best colorway. 2. White Jersey, black pants Before unveiling the white jersey, black pants look against the Broncos in 2021; Philadelphia had usually gone white on white, white on green, or all black for uniform colorways. It's worn the least, and they did it again in 2023 against the Jets, but the white jersey top and black pants have to be utilized more. 3. All Black Thanks to new rules, Philadelphia has an all-black helmet to go with their all-black uniforms. 4. Midnight Green Jersey, white pants Philadelphia's standard home colorway of midnight green jerseys and white pants lands at No. 4 on the list. 5. White jerseys, green pants The white jersey and midnight green pants look smooth but are overshadowed by more pristine colorways. 6. All Whites The all-white look is smooth and would be enhanced by a whiteout at Lincoln Financial Field, providing a collegiate feel for a night game.
