Republicans worked for military families and community colleges, not Beshear
As the 2025 legislative session ends and Gov. Beshear continues to gear-up for his bid to be the democratic presidential nominee in 2028, Kentucky legislators worked for the needs of Kentucky's military members and community colleges: passing HJR 34 and HB 303.
KCTCS is a vital part of our Kentucky communities and our state economy. As such, money spent to improve KCTCS via HJR 34 more directly impacts Kentuckians in a positive way than dollars spent at Beshear-and-Democrat-friendly public universities.
HB 303 connects our large military community in Kentucky with the powerful opportunities, expertise and career-focused excellence in KCTCS: helping to integrate our military heroes into Kentucky workplaces that desperately need them.
Rural Republican legislators are the champions of KCTCS and opportunities for our military family in the Kentucky community (just look at the sponsors of both HJR 34 and HB303). Yet, in a video posted to X on March 19, we find our governor reading something that someone else wrote, trying to take all the credit, and taking shots at the Trump Administration.
He made no mention of the sponsors of the bill or of the legislature. He has his eyes on DC. Kentuckians should keep their eyes on the Capitol in Frankfort. That is who is working for us.
