Mayor calls for unity among MBKS members to better serve city

KUCHING (April 28): All members of the Kuching South City Council (MBKS), including its heads of departments (HODs) and councillors, have been called to continue working together as a unified team to serve the city more effectively.
In pointing this out, Kuching South Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng highlighted the importance for the council to have strong teamwork and mutual support among those within its community.
'As we move forward, I encourage everyone—the councillors, the HODs, and all staff—to continue working together as one strong, united team.
'Let us support each other, communicate openly and collaborate effectively for the betterment of our city and the people we serve,' he said at MBKS Aidilfitri open house today.
At the event, Wee also welcomed MBKS' newly-elected secretary Ita Ling, and expressed his gratitude to former acting secretary Wong Ming Kong for his hard work and contributions.
The Aidilfitri gathering featured various stalls offering traditional festive delicacies, and also fun contests such as 'Best Decorative Stall' and 'Best Dressed Awards'.
