Sultan Haitham city wins "Best Landscape Architecture" Award
Haitam City – The landscape and outdoor spaces design of the first phase of Madinat Sultan Haitham has been awarded the 'Best Landscape Architecture Award' for 2025-2026 by the prestigious Arabian Property Awards. The design was developed in partnership with LWK & Partners and Meinhardt, renowned for their urban and architectural expertise.
The award recognises the project's exceptional planning, which integrates human-centric design with environmental sustainability. Through thoughtful distribution of green spaces, walkways, and pedestrian-friendly environments, the project exemplifies the core values of livable, smart, and sustainable cities.
Engineer Amal bint Muslim Al Zaidi, Urban Planner and Landscape Architect at the Executive Office for Future Cities, noted that the award is a clear testament to the commitment to high standards in sustainable urban development. She emphasized that Madinat Sultan Haitham represents a visionary model where form meets function, ensuring a harmonious balance between urban utility and aesthetic appeal.
The project involves collaboration between local and international partners in design and engineering supervision. Implementation is already underway on the first infrastructure projects and residential neighborhoods, in alignment with a holistic urban development strategy that prioritizes quality of life and sustainability.
The Arabian Property Awards, part of the globally recognized World Property Awards, honor excellence in real estate and architecture. Winners are selected by an elite panel of industry experts in planning, design, and development.
This recognition cements Sultan Haitham City as a flagship national urban development project, reflecting Oman's commitment to building modern, integrated, and forward-looking cities aligned with Oman Vision 2040.
