Prince William's ‘deep connection' with Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, revealed after joint engagement
Prince William has reportedly forged a "deep connection" with his aunt Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, following multiple health crises in the royal family and attacks from the Sussexes. The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Edinburgh, who are among the United Kingdom's most popular royals, made a rare joint appearance in Cornwall on Friday. It is understood that the Wales and Edinburgh families are close, with Sophie and Edward 'stepping up' to help William during Catherine's cancer treatment. According to body language expert Darren Stanton, William and Sophie's joint appearance conveyed natural chemistry and a close bond. 'In terms of William and Sophie's dynamic, they get on really well and it's clear that it's not for the cameras,' Mr Stanton told on Tuesday on behalf of Betfair Casino. 'With William and Sophie, their whole demeanours are completely consistent with two people who are genuinely enjoying each other's company and having a good laugh.' In some respects, Sophie represents a bridge between older members of the family, like King Charles III, and the upcoming generation of royals headed by William. At 60, Sophie is almost equally half way in age between her nephew William, 42, and her brother-in-law Charles, 76. Sophie, like Princess Catherine, also came from a regular middle class background before marrying Queen Elizabeth II's youngest son at age 34 in 1999. 'Overall, it's clear that the pair have a deep connection and strong rapport,' Mr Stanton said. 'It's quite rare that William and Sophie take on engagements together, but this one really shows the depth of their friendship - they genuinely seem to get on well. 'There's matching and mirroring between them, shared humour, and no signs of awkwardness.' The expert believes the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Edinburgh are a 'true' representation of the current slimmed-down monarchy. 'I think this is a really good and true representation of the current monarchy, as they're not afraid to show their true selves in public and have their guards down to an extent, taking it all in and enjoying the day,' he said. 'William and Sophie both seem genuinely happy and appear to be a strong duo together.' Although Sophie has been a full-time working royal for over two decades, the Duchess has taken on a noticeably larger workload in recent years after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex 'stepped back' from being working royals. The number of working royals has fallen further after Prince Andrew's military titles and royal patronages were stripped of him in disgrace, and Queen Elizabeth II's death in 2022. The Wales and Edinburgh clans have also both weathered unsubstantiated attacks by the Sussexes' unofficial hagiographer Omid Scobie in his book Endgame. In Endgame, Scobie alleged that Catherine was the 'racist royal' who inquired about Prince Archie's skin colour and labelled William 'power hungry'. In another passage, Scobie slammed the Duchess of Edinburgh as 'tin-eared' or 'casually bigoted' about race after Sophie said she never saw the Sussexes' interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Body Language Expert Says Meghan Markle Had an 'Emotional Shift' While Discussing Prince Harry
In the past, I've seen Meghan Markle conduct candid interviews with stars like Serena Williams, Mindy Kaling, Issa Rae, and Mariah Carey for her Archetypes podcast. But now, the spotlight is on the Duchess of Sussex as she opens up about her career, her family and life after stepping back from the monarchy in her first-ever podcast interview. The royal recently appeared on The Jamie Kern Lima Show, and the tell-all 90-minute talk, which went live on YouTube on Monday, has already garnered plenty of reactions from royal fans. However, body language expert Darren Stanton made some interesting observations while watching the mother of three talk about her husband, Prince Harry. Stanton noted that she initially appeared "fairly relaxed," but then he noticed a brief "emotional shift" in the former Suits actress when she discussed her early relationship with Prince Harry. Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, Stanton recalled, 'There was a nice moment when Meghan spoke about her current relationship with Harry. She comes across as open when talking about personal matters, and seems happy to talk about her relationship with Harry and the interactions between them. Essentially, when she is being open and honest, she does seem to be fairly relaxed and doesn't appear nervous about giving away personal details, which is what came across at that point in the interview.' He continued, 'When speaking about her early relationship with Harry, it seems like Meghan is masking some of her emotions. She is lacking the key signs of genuine emotion, such as crow's feet at the corners of her eyes and full facial engagement. This could be due to Meghan feeling slightly uncomfortable about the line of questioning, making her expressions more performative than heartfelt.' Stanton also noted an increase in her blink rate—a common sign of nervousness and discomfort. He explained, 'When she refers to being 'in the trenches,' there is a clear increase in her blink rate. A sudden change in blink rate is often a subtle but telling indicator of an emotional shift. In this case, it likely reflects a moment of self-awareness. While it was clearly just a throwaway comment, she's aware of how her words could be perceived and interpreted, which causes her blink rate to increase.' Considering the chaos and media scrutiny that Markle and her husband experienced in the past, I can understand the slight shift in body language. Fortunately, the royal couple are now thriving and happy. While chatting about their romance, the duchess told Lima, "I mean, H, that man loves me so much. And look what we've built. We've built a beautiful life and we have two healthy, beautiful children. I always think about it like the end of Super Mario Brothers, when you get to the final level, and what's the goal in Super Mario? They're like, 'Slay the dragon, save the princess.' I'm like, 'That's my husband.' He's going to do whatever he can to make sure that our family is safe and protected and we're uplifted." Prince William and Kate Middleton still have 'genuine spark' on anniversary trip to the Isle of Mull
Prince William and Kate Middleton have been visiting the Isle of Mull for a two-day visit to mark their 14th wedding anniversary. The trip was organised to honour rural communities and allow the royal couple to meet with local artisans, farmers, and residents. William and Kate were greeted by cheering crowds when they arrived on the Scottish island on yesterday (29 April), which also happened to be their anniversary. More than 200 tourists and locals lined the main street to celebrate the couple's arrival. William and Kate were said to be staying in a self-catered cottage - marking Kate's first time on an overnight stay during an official engagement since her cancer treatment. The Royal Foundation is funding the refurbishment of two halls in the area, with Aros Hall and a community hall in the village of Pennyghael in southern Mull both receiving grants from the foundation. Now, a body language expert has analysed the couple's relationship as they celebrate their anniversary. With images emerging of William and Kate during their trip, body language expert Darren Stanton sees signs of a 'genuine spark' and a 'mischievous side', as they 'continue to push relationship boundaries' 14 years after their wedding day. The couple tied the knot in April of 2011 at Westminster Abbey in London, as the world watched. Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, Darren revealed: "I have analysed hundreds of hours of footage of Kate Middleton and Prince William over the course of my career. In terms of the couple's body language, they are definitely one of the strongest couples - if not the strongest out of all of the Royal family." The expert shared that there has "always been a genuine spark between them" and they have a "very mischievous element to their relationship and clearly shared the same sense of humour." He continued: "Despite being together for a number of years, they now appear to be at the epitome of their relationship and well and truly in love. Simple signals that illustrate this include when William looks out for Kate whilst attending events together, just like his father does with Queen Camilla. "While Kate's confidence has grown, it's clear that he still feels very protective over his wife and will do anything to ensure that she is safe." The expert also revealed that William and Kate 'continue to push boundaries' comparing the couple to William's cousin Zara and her husband Mike Tindall. He shared: "There are many instances where the couple have shown public displays of affection over the years. From an odd kiss here and there to holding hands. As their marriage has developed over time, these signals have definitely grown, which proves that the pair have become more comfortable in each other's presence." Darren believes that despite the couple being "members of the royal family with a lifelong duty", they are not shy when "showing their affectionate side." Comparing the prince and princess of Wales to Mike and Zara, the expert stated: "I would say that Kate and William are very similar to Mike and Zara Tindall, as both of their marriages are strong and appear to have gone from strength to strength." "Mike and Zara also appear to have a mischievous side, which is something that Kate and William haven't been afraid to show in recent years. They've definitely broken away from strict protocols and appear more comfortable within their relationship while out in public," he continued. "Overall, it's clear Kate and William will continue to push the boundaries over the course of their marriage, which will only show them in a more relatable light."

Telling signs Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley are connecting on a deeper level - as body language expert reveals new couple are on the 'same page emotionally'
A body language expert has revealed that Billy Rae Cyrys and Liz Hurley want to connect on 'a deeper level' and are on the 'same page emotionally'. The new unlikely couple, who pals have claimed are set to marry, went public with their relationship this month. And the actress, 59, shared more photos from her shock new romance with the singer, 63, on Sunday, where they looked completely smitten. Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, body language expert Darren Stanton has revealed the new couple are 'naturally very comfortable' with each other and are going from strength to strength. Darren also believes Billy appears to be 'protective' of Liz, claiming he will be leading the way in this new relationship. The body language expert explained: 'We can tell Liz and Billy Ray have a very close connection that is continuing to grow and develop. 'From these images, it shows they aren't afraid to be close with each other, as they are displaying plenty of tactile behaviour by wrapping their arms around each other and smiling for the camera. 'They both look very comfortable and in love. While it is early days in their relationship, they look very in sync and want to connect on a deeper level.' He added that the duo look happy and naturally at ease to be photographed together, which is a 'good sign and shows they're embracing these moments together'. Darren quipped: 'We see them matching their body language as neither one is distancing themselves. They come across as reciprocating the other, telling us they're on the same page emotionally, and they're able to trust each other.' He added: 'Billy appears to be very protective of Liz in these pictures from the way he is holding her. This tells us he will be leading the way in this dynamic between the two of them. 'Looking at Liz's responses through her eye contact and smiles, it's clear she's happy to be in his company.' The new pictures were taken during a weekend at Billy Ray's Tennessee home, where the couple spent time together with Elizabeth's son Damian. The country music star couldn't keep his hands off Elizabeth as he wrapped his arms around her in the affectionate shot. Elizabeth looked glamorous in a white lace blouse, which she styled with a pair of blue jeans and aviator style shades. Meanwhile, Billy Ray wore a purple plaid shirt which showed off his inked arms with a pair of blue jeans. Another photo saw them driving around his property together in a buggy with one of his family dogs. Revealing the location of the photos, Elizabeth captioned them: 'Tennessee weekend [red heart emoji]'. The photos come soon after it was reported Elizabeth could reportedly be set to marry new boyfriend Billy Ray amid their unlikely whirlwind romance. They sent the internet into a frenzy on Easter Sunday as they announced their relationship to the world with a snap of them canoodling by a fence in a field. Elizabeth's pals have since told The Sun that 'marriage could be on the card' for the pair, who despite their very different backgrounds share similar interests which has proven to be the secret to their romance. They told the publication: 'Everyone is saying Billy and Liz are world's apart, but actually they are very similar. They have a lot in common and have the same interests'. 'Billy is also very much her type, he has a real twinkle in his eye and a naughty streak that she can't resist.' MailOnline contacted Elizabeth's reps for comment. This would not be Elizabeth's first time down the aisle, after wedding multimillionaire Arun Nayar in 2007, with their two lavish ceremonies spanned two continents, with a civil service in an English castle and then a traditional Hindu ceremony in India. The actress and the textile heir eventually divorced in 2011, but have remained good friends ever since, often appearing at public events together. During a previous interview with the Daily Mail's YOU magazine in 2018, Liz said: 'My husband and I had the most amicable divorce in the world and my lawyer said it was the cheapest case she'd ever handled because neither of us wanted anything.' It comes after Billy Ray opened up about his new relationship with Elizabeth for the first time while appearing on Apple Music Country's The Ty Bentli Show. Less than a week after hard launching his romance with the Austin Powers actress he revealed how he found love again following his divorce with Firerose last year. While navigating a difficult period in his life, the Achy Breaky Heart crooner recalled receiving an unexpected text message from his former Christmas in Paradise. 'I felt like, 'Wow, can life get any harder? Can it get any tougher?' For me, at a certain point it was like, you can't get knocked down any flatter than laying on your back when life is kicking you,' he said. 'And in this moment... a friend reached out.' According to Cyrus, Hurley's message read something along the lines of: 'Hey, it looks like life might be a little bit tough and just wanted you to know I'm in your corner; you've got a friend in your corner.' Upon getting her text, the father-of-five admitted he 'didn't even know the number.' 'So, I text back, I go, "Who is this?" And it's like, "Elizabeth Hurley." Of all the people to reach out to me in that second that maybe I needed most… this friend who made me laugh,' he said. Although they hadn't spoken in 'two years' shortly after wrapping their 2022 holiday film, Cyrus instantly remembered 'there was a chemistry' between them on set during their 'very few scenes together.' 'We just laughed, and it was at a time I wasn't laughing a lot,' he noted. 'The oddest part was first, how much we laughed. Second, I figured we were so different but in some very strange way we had way more in common than we had different.' Christmas in Paradise was shot in the Caribbean, not long after he separated from ex-wife Tish in April 2022 after 28 years of marriage. Cyrus proceeded to describe Hurley as a 'a great human being' and insisted he would have been satisfied just being friends. 'She's so impressively brilliant. She reminds me a lot of Dolly Parton. She's a very smart businesswoman,' he gushed. 'If you can laugh together, you can make it through everything.' Cyrus also teased that there would be more photos of them coming since taking their relationship public on Easter with a sweet photo of him giving her a kiss on the cheek. 'There will be one coming where she's kissing me because people have been saying, "Why's he always kissing her?" Unfortunately when I see her, when she puts her cheek out there, I don't know what happens, I just kiss it,' he mused. The singer raved that their relationship has 'been beautiful.' Cyrus also said he loves Hurley's son, Damian, 23, 'a lot.' 'It's great that God brought them into my life when he did. It's just a good thing. It's been a long time since I've been this happy,' he said of his new relationship. A source told Us Weekly that the pair 'bonded over life experiences' as they've 'both been through a lot in life' adding that the relationship is 'very recent.' 'They really understand each other and Liz is a very compassionate person, which Billy Ray adores,' the insider added. The actress and model has been spending time with Cyrus at his Nashville farm, as they both enjoy 'the low-key, nature-loving lifestyle.' The pair have 'just been enjoying life together and wanted to make it public. They have nothing to hide and are very happy.' Elizabeth previously confessed that 'the opportunity to work with Billy Ray' was one of the main reasons she shot the Lionsgate sequel to the 2021 flick Father Christmas is Back opposite onscreen dad Kelsey Grammer (who's only 11 years older than her). 'I've long been a fan of [Cyrus],' Hurley gushed to MovieWeb in 2022. 'My son [Damian] was the age where he used to watch Hannah Montana all the time, so of course, I used to watch it with him. I knew Billy Ray really well from that, and of course, some of his music. That was a big plus.' Indeed, the two-time Grammy winner portrayed widowed single father Robby Ray Stewart in the Disney Channel series from 2006-2011 opposite his real-life estranged daughter Miley Cyrus. Their relationship shocked fans, coming just months after Billy's whirlwind divorce from singer Firerose in August, following a dramatic break-up that played out both publicly and privately. However, new reports claim that it was Billy and Firerose's split that laid the foundation for his romance with Liz, with the singer said to have reached out to the model for help during the 'really hard time'.

Expert Calls Out Major Shift in King Charles and Queen Camilla's Body Language
This past week, I caught several glimpses of King Charles and Queen Camilla living their best lives as they celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary abroad in Italy. The royal couple visited the historic Colosseum, attended a Food Festival at Piazza del Popolo and even had a private meeting with the Pope at the Vatican. Then, after their successful getaway, the couple touched down in Scotland to kick off their Easter celebrations. Several photos of the monarch and his wife were taken as they attended a church service at Crathie Kirk, and body language expert Darren Stanton made some key observations that offer insight into their marriage. Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, Stanton revealed that they appear to be "genuinely happy" and "relaxed." Paul Campbell-He said, 'You can see just complete happiness and joy painted across their faces. They are happy to be together, happy to be in Scotland for Easter and clearly thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Italy. Camilla's face, especially, was showing an incredibly genuine and engaged smile in all the photographs of them arriving at the church. You could see strong smile lines and crows feet, there was also a real twinkle in their eyes; all signs of real happiness." Stanton continued, 'What you see is what you get with Camilla, and her face is always very engaged. Charles is also looking very relaxed and comfortable. His shoulders are loose and down, as are his facial muscles. I think this shows how happy he is to be in Scotland with the family and may suggest that he feels rejuvenated by the couple's successful trip to Italy.' As seen in the following snap, the queen shows rare PDA by casually placing her hand on King Charles's hand as they exit the church, indicating their close bond and comfort level. Paul Campbell-Stanton also spotted the king reaching for Camilla's hand, noting that this reveals how much he depends on his partner. He explained, "This is a subconscious gesture from him showing he is leaning on her for support and wants her near him at all times. This is a testament to the strength of their bond, they are each other's rock." He also noted a major change, adding, "The reach for the hand also shows how Charles is becoming more and more comfortable with subtle public displays of affection. I think this is a sign the family as a whole are slowly becoming more relaxed when it comes to traditional royal protocol, following the lead of his sons." Paul Campbell-The royal couple donned coordinating tartan outfits for the occasion, and during the service, they enjoyed a new piece of music, "The Weather of My Being" by composer Paul Mealor, which was performed to mark their milestone wedding anniversary. Here's to more anniversaries and sweet PDA moments. Want all the latest royal news sent right to your inbox? Click here.
