Telling signs Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley are connecting on a deeper level - as body language expert reveals new couple are on the 'same page emotionally'

Daily Mail28-04-2025

A body language expert has revealed that Billy Rae Cyrys and Liz Hurley want to connect on 'a deeper level' and are on the 'same page emotionally'.
The new unlikely couple, who pals have claimed are set to marry, went public with their relationship this month.
And the actress, 59, shared more photos from her shock new romance with the singer, 63, on Sunday, where they looked completely smitten.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, body language expert Darren Stanton has revealed the new couple are 'naturally very comfortable' with each other and are going from strength to strength.
Darren also believes Billy appears to be 'protective' of Liz, claiming he will be leading the way in this new relationship.
The body language expert explained: 'We can tell Liz and Billy Ray have a very close connection that is continuing to grow and develop.
'From these images, it shows they aren't afraid to be close with each other, as they are displaying plenty of tactile behaviour by wrapping their arms around each other and smiling for the camera.
'They both look very comfortable and in love. While it is early days in their relationship, they look very in sync and want to connect on a deeper level.'
He added that the duo look happy and naturally at ease to be photographed together, which is a 'good sign and shows they're embracing these moments together'.
Darren quipped: 'We see them matching their body language as neither one is distancing themselves. They come across as reciprocating the other, telling us they're on the same page emotionally, and they're able to trust each other.'
He added: 'Billy appears to be very protective of Liz in these pictures from the way he is holding her. This tells us he will be leading the way in this dynamic between the two of them.
'Looking at Liz's responses through her eye contact and smiles, it's clear she's happy to be in his company.'
The new pictures were taken during a weekend at Billy Ray's Tennessee home, where the couple spent time together with Elizabeth's son Damian.
The country music star couldn't keep his hands off Elizabeth as he wrapped his arms around her in the affectionate shot.
Elizabeth looked glamorous in a white lace blouse, which she styled with a pair of blue jeans and aviator style shades.
Meanwhile, Billy Ray wore a purple plaid shirt which showed off his inked arms with a pair of blue jeans.
Another photo saw them driving around his property together in a buggy with one of his family dogs.
Revealing the location of the photos, Elizabeth captioned them: 'Tennessee weekend [red heart emoji]'.
The photos come soon after it was reported Elizabeth could reportedly be set to marry new boyfriend Billy Ray amid their unlikely whirlwind romance.
They sent the internet into a frenzy on Easter Sunday as they announced their relationship to the world with a snap of them canoodling by a fence in a field.
Elizabeth's pals have since told The Sun that 'marriage could be on the card' for the pair, who despite their very different backgrounds share similar interests which has proven to be the secret to their romance.
They told the publication: 'Everyone is saying Billy and Liz are world's apart, but actually they are very similar. They have a lot in common and have the same interests'.
'Billy is also very much her type, he has a real twinkle in his eye and a naughty streak that she can't resist.'
MailOnline contacted Elizabeth's reps for comment.
This would not be Elizabeth's first time down the aisle, after wedding multimillionaire Arun Nayar in 2007, with their two lavish ceremonies spanned two continents, with a civil service in an English castle and then a traditional Hindu ceremony in India.
The actress and the textile heir eventually divorced in 2011, but have remained good friends ever since, often appearing at public events together.
During a previous interview with the Daily Mail's YOU magazine in 2018, Liz said: 'My husband and I had the most amicable divorce in the world and my lawyer said it was the cheapest case she'd ever handled because neither of us wanted anything.'
It comes after Billy Ray opened up about his new relationship with Elizabeth for the first time while appearing on Apple Music Country's The Ty Bentli Show.
Less than a week after hard launching his romance with the Austin Powers actress he revealed how he found love again following his divorce with Firerose last year.
While navigating a difficult period in his life, the Achy Breaky Heart crooner recalled receiving an unexpected text message from his former Christmas in Paradise.
'I felt like, 'Wow, can life get any harder? Can it get any tougher?' For me, at a certain point it was like, you can't get knocked down any flatter than laying on your back when life is kicking you,' he said. 'And in this moment... a friend reached out.'
According to Cyrus, Hurley's message read something along the lines of: 'Hey, it looks like life might be a little bit tough and just wanted you to know I'm in your corner; you've got a friend in your corner.'
Upon getting her text, the father-of-five admitted he 'didn't even know the number.'
'So, I text back, I go, "Who is this?" And it's like, "Elizabeth Hurley." Of all the people to reach out to me in that second that maybe I needed most… this friend who made me laugh,' he said.
Although they hadn't spoken in 'two years' shortly after wrapping their 2022 holiday film, Cyrus instantly remembered 'there was a chemistry' between them on set during their 'very few scenes together.'
'We just laughed, and it was at a time I wasn't laughing a lot,' he noted. 'The oddest part was first, how much we laughed. Second, I figured we were so different but in some very strange way we had way more in common than we had different.'
Christmas in Paradise was shot in the Caribbean, not long after he separated from ex-wife Tish in April 2022 after 28 years of marriage.
Cyrus proceeded to describe Hurley as a 'a great human being' and insisted he would have been satisfied just being friends.
'She's so impressively brilliant. She reminds me a lot of Dolly Parton. She's a very smart businesswoman,' he gushed. 'If you can laugh together, you can make it through everything.'
Cyrus also teased that there would be more photos of them coming since taking their relationship public on Easter with a sweet photo of him giving her a kiss on the cheek.
'There will be one coming where she's kissing me because people have been saying, "Why's he always kissing her?" Unfortunately when I see her, when she puts her cheek out there, I don't know what happens, I just kiss it,' he mused.
The singer raved that their relationship has 'been beautiful.'
Cyrus also said he loves Hurley's son, Damian, 23, 'a lot.'
'It's great that God brought them into my life when he did. It's just a good thing. It's been a long time since I've been this happy,' he said of his new relationship.
A source told Us Weekly that the pair 'bonded over life experiences' as they've 'both been through a lot in life' adding that the relationship is 'very recent.'
'They really understand each other and Liz is a very compassionate person, which Billy Ray adores,' the insider added.
The actress and model has been spending time with Cyrus at his Nashville farm, as they both enjoy 'the low-key, nature-loving lifestyle.'
The pair have 'just been enjoying life together and wanted to make it public. They have nothing to hide and are very happy.'
Elizabeth previously confessed that 'the opportunity to work with Billy Ray' was one of the main reasons she shot the Lionsgate sequel to the 2021 flick Father Christmas is Back opposite onscreen dad Kelsey Grammer (who's only 11 years older than her).
'I've long been a fan of [Cyrus],' Hurley gushed to MovieWeb in 2022.
'My son [Damian] was the age where he used to watch Hannah Montana all the time, so of course, I used to watch it with him. I knew Billy Ray really well from that, and of course, some of his music. That was a big plus.'
Indeed, the two-time Grammy winner portrayed widowed single father Robby Ray Stewart in the Disney Channel series from 2006-2011 opposite his real-life estranged daughter Miley Cyrus.
Their relationship shocked fans, coming just months after Billy's whirlwind divorce from singer Firerose in August, following a dramatic break-up that played out both publicly and privately.
However, new reports claim that it was Billy and Firerose's split that laid the foundation for his romance with Liz, with the singer said to have reached out to the model for help during the 'really hard time'.

Why Helena and Harry's shotgun trip to The Hideaway means Love Island's rediscovered its sex factor

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) CALL me a voyeur, but I'm a 40-year-old, married woman who is hot under the collar at the idea lust is back on Love Island. The Sun told yesterday how two of this year's intake enjoyed a sleepover in the private Hideaway boudoir just 56 hours after meeting. 6 Blonde cabin crew Helena Ford enjoyed a sleepover in the Hideaway Credit: itv 6 Semi-pro footballer Harry Cooksley is now coupled up with another Islander Credit: itv It's even juicier because - officially - both blonde cabin crew Helena Ford and semi-pro footballer Harry Cooksley are coupled up with other Islanders. Of course it helps that both are cut straight from the Barbie and Ken mould, with matching abs, glowing tans and designer locks. So when I heard from my source that the pin-up pairing had snuck away on Monday to spend the night in the private bedroom, I was gleeful. That's not because I get my kicks watching twenty-somethings frolic in a Majorcan villa - honest, Mr Cross. It's because it was the early sign of promise that sex might just be back on Love Island after years of celibacy. Bold choice too far Let me lead you astray, back to 2015 when the ITV dating series first plunged a group of youngsters into a luxury villa and encouraged them to find, ahem, love. The series' main characters were John Lee and Hannah Elizabeth, who weren't afraid to get down to it in the communal bedroom. Despite Michelle and Stuart, then Makosi and Anthony engaging in a public PDA on Big Brother in 2004 and 2005 respectively, such bold antics felt entirely new to TV viewers and split the nation. But nothing prepared the pearl clutchers for what happened a year on. The entire cast let rip, with eight couples going all the way - usually in the shared bedroom - which was all fun and games until ITV bosses took two specific editorial decisions too far. Love Island fans spot clue islander is 'faking' claim he has never shared a bed with a girl Beauty queen Zara Holland was stripped of her Miss GB title after having sex with Alex Bowen in the Hideaway in 2016. The judges were said to have been particularly offended by a scene which saw her visibly enjoying the act. Then, another late night scene showed Emma-Jane Woodham on top of Terry Walsh, above the bed covers. It was a bold choice too far - even after the 9pm watershed - and viewers rushed to Ofcom. That was the end of sex on Love Island as we knew it and from then on, execs took the decision to instead show a shaking bedside lamp or tangled pair of feet. And in recent years the Instagram career-focussed cast and media trained Islanders have abstained entirely. Abi Moores told The Sun that no one hooked up in the 2023 series until the penultimate night, when the cast are allowed to spend a night away from the cameras. 6 Dejon and Meg have also locked lips 6 Helena has a three way kiss with Conor and Harry Only TV personality Joey Essex and his girl Jessy Potts succumbed last summer - and the only clue was a wobbling champagne bucket, as they cemented their union, artfully off shot. But this lot don't seem to be as PR-focussed. Last night's episode, the third of this series, presented a lapdance, finger sucking, a string of snogs and even a three-way smooch. Tommy and Megan, Dejon and Meg, Shakira and Blu and throuple Helena, Harry and Conor have all locked lips. And the ep teased Helena and Harry's saucy sleepover, with them sharing an afternoon kiss on the Hideaway's swing and joking they would 'wait five minutes after everyone's gone to sleep then sneak in overnight.' Frankly, it's the green shoots of recovery the long-running series needs. The launch drew an audience of 1.4 million across all devices, which ITV proudly reported was ITV2's biggest show this year. But it represented a drop on last year's 1.6 million and was a far cry from its heyday when 6 million tuned in. As the series celebrates its tenth anniversary, there's still some love left for the format - all 11 series have been streamed a whopping 2billion times to date on ITVX. This year's up-for-it cast could prove to be the Viagra the series needs. 6 Harry and Helena were in the Hideaway boudoir just 56 hours after meeting 6 Love Island's Shakira and Blu sharing a kiss The dating show genre has upped its game in recent years, with Rylan Clark's Dating Naked asking its cast to find love entirely in the nude. And 12 innocents even explored popping their cherries on Channel 4's Virgin Island. But will Helena and Harry end up regretting their private night? Zara Holland, now 29, crown for being Love Island's most talked-about bonker after her beauty pageant scandal in 2016. After the series, she said: 'I regret massively having sex on the show. 'If I could turn back the clock, I would. 'I know I didn't do anything illegal, I was twenty at the time, there's nothing to be ashamed of but yes, you know, it was the biggest regret.' Montana Brown's relationship with Alex Beattie only lasted a couple of weeks when they left the villa. And Montana, now 29 and a mum of two, came to look back on their hour-long sex sessions during the 2017 series with regret. She said: 'In hindsight, having sex on TV wasn't the best idea. My advice to the new hopefuls is not to do it. 'If I could have done it differently, I wouldn't have had sex. 'It's all everyone wants to speak about now.' While some regret having sex on TV just once, Kem Cetinay's remorse comes from the fact he had so much. The 2017 series winner, now 29, spoke about his amorous stay in the villa with Amber Davies. He said: 'Maybe I shouldn't have had as much sex as I did – maybe once or twice would have been enough. 'Now I've got a business and I've got staff, and if new recruits search for me, some of the first articles that come up will be about me having sex on TV.' There's plenty of Islanders who still love the fact they for lusty on screen. It's as if people wanted me to be ashamed, but I'm not going to be. Megan Barton-Hanson Jess Shears, now 32, romped with Dom Lever on 2017's series and she reckons hooking up in the villa helped cement their relationship. They are now married with two children. She said: 'I don't regret having sex on TV as such, but it's a bit strange that the whole nation knows about it. 'No one normally knows about your sexual relations but then at the end of the day if that worked for Dom and I, I'm glad that we did because I'm still with him now.' Kady McDermott, now 29, also didn't regret her on-screen sex with boyfriend Scott Thomas in the 2016 series. The couple even stayed together for 18 months after leaving the villa. She said: 'I personally don't regret having sex because it was with someone I was actually with and loved.' And Megan Barton-Hanson is another who has vocally supported pursuing a physical connection on the show after hooking up with Wes Nelson in 2018. She said: 'There is still so much stigma around women even saying they enjoy sex, let alone doing it on national TV. 'When Wes and I were interviewed afterwards, I would always be asked if I regretted having sex on TV and if my parents were embarrassed. They didn't ask Wes. 'It's as if people wanted me to be ashamed, but I'm not going to be.' *Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
